Tailor your resume to distribution workflows
Customer Support roles at Cardinal Health involve pharmaceutical and medical product order cycles, returns, and account escalations. Highlight experience with ERP systems, order management platforms, or healthcare supply chain processes to align with what hiring teams are screening for.
Target Cardinal Health's business segments directly
Cardinal Health operates distinct Pharmaceutical and Medical segments, each with separate Customer Support teams. Identify which segment aligns with your background and apply to roles within that division, since hiring managers and HR sponsorship workflows often differ between them.
Clarify your OPT or CPT start date early
If you're on F-1 OPT, Cardinal Health's HR will need your Employment Authorization Document before your start date. Flag your authorization period in your application cover letter so recruiters can confirm the timeline fits their onboarding window without delay.
Understand the LCA wage requirement for your location
For H-1B sponsorship, Cardinal Health must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for your work location. Customer Support roles in Cardinal Health's Dublin, Ohio headquarters may have different prevailing wage levels than remote or regional office positions.
Ask about sponsorship policy during the offer stage
Don't wait until after verbal offer acceptance to raise sponsorship. Bring it up naturally when the recruiter confirms your visa status during screening. Distribution sector employers like Cardinal Health typically route sponsorship decisions through a central immigration team, so asking early surfaces the right stakeholder faster.

Find Customer Support at Cardinal Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Cardinal Health sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Support roles?
Yes, Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Support positions. Sponsorship is typically handled through Cardinal Health's internal immigration team in coordination with outside counsel. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions are tied to the annual lottery, timing your offer and filing relative to the April 1 filing window is critical if you're not already in H-1B status.
Which visa types does Cardinal Health commonly sponsor for Customer Support positions?
Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visas for Customer Support roles, and supports Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term employees. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What qualifications and experience does Cardinal Health expect for Customer Support roles?
Most Customer Support roles at Cardinal Health require a bachelor's degree in business, communications, supply chain, or a related field, along with experience in account management, order processing, or customer-facing service. Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is frequently listed as preferred. Healthcare distribution experience is valued but not always required for entry-level positions.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at Cardinal Health?
You can apply directly through Cardinal Health's careers portal at cardinalhealth.com. For a filtered view of Customer Support openings where visa sponsorship has been documented, Migrate Mate lets you browse current Cardinal Health roles by visa type. Applying early in a hiring cycle improves your chances of clearing Cardinal Health's immigration approval process before an offer deadline.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship through Cardinal Health?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed with USCIS starting April 1 for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT with a gap between graduation and October 1, you may need a cap-gap extension to remain work-authorized. Coordinate with Cardinal Health's HR team at least three months before the April filing window to allow time for the DOL Labor Condition Application certification.
