Frame Your Distribution Sector Experience Clearly
Cardinal Health's BD roles focus on supply chain partnerships and healthcare distributor networks. Before applying, map your experience to pharmaceutical, medical product, or wholesale distribution accounts so your resume speaks directly to their business model.
Target Roles With Existing LCA Filings
Search the DOL's Labor Condition Application disclosure data for Cardinal Health to see which Business Development job titles and locations they have historically filed for. This tells you where sponsorship is structurally built into the hiring workflow, not an exception.
Confirm Sponsorship Eligibility Before Your Final Round
Cardinal Health operates across multiple business units with different hiring managers. Ask your recruiter directly which unit is filling the role and whether that unit's budget includes visa sponsorship for Business Development, since practices can vary by division.
Plan Your OPT Timeline Around BD Hiring Cycles
Cardinal Health's Business Development hiring tends to align with fiscal planning cycles. If you're on F-1 OPT, verify your work authorization end date gives you at least 12 months of runway so a cap-subject H-1B filing can be submitted before your status expires.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Open BD Roles by Visa Type
Browse current Business Development openings at Cardinal Health filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate. This surfaces roles where H-1B or Green Card sponsorship is confirmed, saving you from applying to positions where sponsorship isn't available.
Prepare Your PERM Documentation Early for Green Card Paths
If Cardinal Health initiates a PERM-based Green Card for your BD role, the DOL requires documented recruitment and proof no qualified U.S. worker was available. Keeping organized records of your qualifications, transcripts, and prior work history speeds up your employer's compliance process significantly.

Find Business Development at Cardinal Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Cardinal Health sponsor H-1B visas for Business Developments?
Yes, Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development roles. Sponsorship availability can vary by business unit and specific role, so confirming directly with the recruiter during the process is the most reliable approach. Cardinal Health also supports Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications for qualifying employees in this function.
Which visa types does Cardinal Health commonly use for Business Development roles?
Cardinal Health sponsors a range of visa types for Business Development positions, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates. For longer-term sponsorship, they pursue EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process filed with the DOL.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at Cardinal Health?
Applications go through Cardinal Health's careers portal. For visa-sponsored roles specifically, Migrate Mate filters open Business Development positions at Cardinal Health by sponsorship type, so you can apply to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than finding out late in the process. Tailor your application to highlight healthcare distribution, strategic accounts, or wholesale partnership experience.
What qualifications does Cardinal Health expect for Business Development roles?
Cardinal Health's Business Development positions typically require a bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, life sciences, or a related field, along with experience in B2B sales, account management, or strategic partnerships within healthcare or distribution. Roles focused on pharmaceutical or medical product distribution favor candidates with direct industry exposure and demonstrated revenue or account growth.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing sponsorship for a Business Development role at Cardinal Health?
H-1B petitions can only be filed once per year, with USCIS accepting registrations in March for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer outside that window, your employer may use cap-exempt status or bridge your authorization through OPT extension. Aligning your job search to Cardinal Health's fiscal hiring cycles, typically mid-year planning periods, improves your chances of receiving an offer with enough lead time for timely filing.
