Align your credentials to DEA and FDA frameworks
Cardinal Health's Compliance function centers on pharmaceutical distribution regulations. Certifications like CCEP or experience with DEA Schedule II controlled substance protocols will strengthen your profile far more than general compliance credentials.
Target roles that overlap with trade and import compliance
Cardinal Health's distribution scale means Compliance openings often touch customs, import controls, and OFAC requirements. Roles with this cross-functional scope tend to have stronger employer sponsorship justification when building the specialty occupation case for an H-1B petition.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Cardinal Health Compliance openings by visa type
Cardinal Health posts Compliance roles across multiple business units. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for positions where sponsorship is confirmed, so you avoid applying to roles that exclude visa candidates before the recruiter screen.
Request the LCA before negotiating your offer
Before you accept an offer, ask HR to confirm the Labor Condition Application wage level for your specific Compliance title and location. DOL prevailing wage levels vary by metro area, and Cardinal Health operates facilities in regions with meaningfully different wage tiers.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation early
USCIS scrutinizes whether Compliance roles require a specific bachelor's degree rather than any degree field. Gather job postings, your degree transcripts, and a written explanation linking your field of study directly to pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution compliance work.
Account for PERM timing if you're targeting a Green Card
Cardinal Health sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 pathways for Compliance professionals, but PERM labor certification typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 can be filed. Starting the conversation about immigrant visa intent during the offer stage, not months later, protects your timeline.

Find Compliance at Cardinal Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Cardinal Health sponsor H-1B visas for Compliance roles?
Yes, Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for Compliance positions. The company has an established track record of filing H-1B petitions for roles in regulatory compliance, trade compliance, and DEA licensing functions within its pharmaceutical distribution business. If you're in the H-1B lottery or already hold H-1B status, Compliance is one of the functions where sponsorship support is available.
Which visa types does Cardinal Health commonly sponsor for Compliance positions?
Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B and TN visas for nonimmigrant Compliance hires, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employment. F-1 OPT and CPT candidates are also considered for Compliance roles, which is useful for recent graduates in legal studies, business, or healthcare administration programs pursuing entry-level regulatory or compliance analyst positions.
What qualifications does Cardinal Health expect for sponsored Compliance roles?
Most Compliance roles at Cardinal Health require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as law, healthcare administration, supply chain, or business, along with demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution regulations. Roles involving DEA compliance often expect direct experience with controlled substance recordkeeping. Advanced degrees or certifications like CCEP or CHC strengthen applications for senior-level positions where USCIS specialty occupation standards apply.
How do I apply for Compliance jobs at Cardinal Health?
Applications go through Cardinal Health's careers site, where you can search by function and location. To find Compliance openings confirmed for visa sponsorship without manually filtering through each posting, Migrate Mate aggregates Cardinal Health's sponsored roles so you can browse only the positions that match your visa situation. Apply directly through the employer's site after identifying the right opening.
How do I plan my timeline if Cardinal Health offers me a sponsored Compliance role?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT end date against the April H-1B cap-subject filing deadline. USCIS H-1B petitions for October 1 start dates require lottery registration in March. For TN candidates, status is obtainable at the port of entry with an offer letter and LCA, which means a much shorter lead time. Green Card conversations involving PERM are best initiated during onboarding, not after your first year.
