Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Customer Support Jobs at CDW Jobs
Align your resume to CDW's support tiers
CDW structures Customer Support around account management, technical solutions, and client services. Tailor your resume to the specific tier you're targeting. Generalist resumes get filtered out before sponsorship discussions ever start.
Document your technical certifications before applying
CDW's Customer Support roles frequently require vendor certifications like CompTIA, Cisco, or Microsoft credentials. Having these in hand before you apply signals you're role-ready and reduces employer hesitation about sponsoring someone who still needs training.
Target CDW's business segments strategically
CDW serves corporate, government, healthcare, and education clients through distinct business units. Identify which segment your background fits best and apply to roles in that vertical. Sponsorship conversations move faster when hiring managers see a clear fit for their client base.
Raise visa sponsorship after a verbal offer
Bringing up H-1B or TN sponsorship in early screening rounds can stall your candidacy. Once a hiring manager signals intent to move forward, that's the right moment to confirm sponsorship. CDW's HR team handles immigration filings internally, so the process is established once you're through selection.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles at CDW
CDW posts Customer Support roles across multiple locations and business units at different times of year. Search Migrate Mate to filter open CDW positions by visa type, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing from a generic job listing.

Find Customer Support at CDW JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CDW sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Supports?
Yes, CDW has a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for Customer Support roles. Because CDW is a large technology solutions provider with an established HR and immigration process, H-1B sponsorship for qualifying candidates is a realistic outcome. Your best path is securing a job offer first, then working with CDW's HR team on the H-1B petition timeline.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at CDW?
Applications go through CDW's careers portal, where roles are listed by business segment and location. Use Migrate Mate to browse current CDW Customer Support openings filtered by visa sponsorship type, which saves time compared to reviewing listings that don't clarify immigration support. Once you identify a fit, apply directly and reference your visa status clearly in early conversations with the recruiter.
Which visa types does CDW commonly sponsor for Customer Support roles?
CDW sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for Customer Support professionals in specialty occupation roles. F-1 OPT and CPT candidates can also work at CDW because the company participates in E-Verify, a STEM OPT requirement. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. For longer-term pathways, CDW has supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for employees transitioning from nonimmigrant status.
What qualifications does CDW expect for Customer Support roles?
CDW's Customer Support positions typically expect a bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related field, combined with customer-facing experience in a technology environment. Vendor certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA strengthen your profile significantly. For H-1B eligibility specifically, the role and your degree need to align as a specialty occupation, so a technology-adjacent degree is more defensible than a general studies background.
How do I time my application around H-1B cap deadlines?
The H-1B cap lottery registration opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. To hit that window, you need a job offer and a signed petition ready before your employer submits your registration. Targeting CDW roles in the December through February window gives you enough lead time. If you're on OPT with a STEM extension, you have up to three years of work authorization to secure selection before your status expires.
