Frame your credentials around hardware program delivery
Celestica's Project Manager roles center on electronics manufacturing and supply chain execution. Tailor your resume to show cross-functional program ownership in hardware environments, not just general project coordination. PMP certification strengthens your profile significantly for this company.
Target open roles tied to active production programs
Celestica staffs Project Managers against live manufacturing programs, so roles tied to aerospace, health tech, or communications hardware tend to have more hiring urgency. Search by business segment to find positions where the sponsorship case is clearest and hiring timelines are tighter.
Confirm your OPT timeline before applying
If you're on F-1 OPT, verify your remaining work authorization window against Celestica's typical offer-to-start timeline. Starting with less than six months of OPT remaining creates risk. STEM OPT extension gives you a 24-month runway that comfortably supports their onboarding process.
Use Migrate Mate to surface Celestica Project Manager openings
Celestica posts Project Manager roles across multiple sites but not always consistently. Use Migrate Mate to track current openings filtered by employer and visa sponsorship type, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than inferring it from job descriptions.
Ask about PERM timing during the offer stage
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, PERM labor certification is employer-initiated and DOL-driven. Ask your recruiter during the offer process whether the role is eligible for PERM and what the company's typical timeline looks like, since hardware program roles often meet the specialty occupation and prevailing wage standards PERM requires.
Prepare for TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Project Manager roles at Celestica can qualify under TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the position aligns with a qualifying USMCA professional category. TN requires no employer petition with USCIS, which significantly shortens the authorization timeline compared to H-1B processing.

Find Project Manager at Celestica JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Celestica sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Celestica's primary sponsorship pathways for Project Manager roles include F-1 OPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card categories like EB-2 and EB-3. The company has not consistently appeared as an H-1B sponsor for this function, so if H-1B sponsorship is your primary need, confirm directly with the recruiter before advancing in the process.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Celestica?
Applications go through Celestica's careers portal, where roles are listed by business segment and location. Tailor your application to highlight hardware or electronics program experience, as generic project management backgrounds are less competitive here. Migrate Mate also aggregates Celestica's open Project Manager roles filtered by visa sponsorship type, which helps you identify the right positions faster.
Which visa types does Celestica commonly use for Project Manager roles?
Celestica has sponsored Project Managers through F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates transitioning out of U.S. universities, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term hires. The right pathway depends on your citizenship, current status, and how quickly you need authorization to begin work.
What qualifications does Celestica expect for Project Manager roles?
Celestica typically looks for candidates with a background in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field, combined with hands-on experience managing hardware or electronics manufacturing programs. PMP certification is frequently listed as preferred. Familiarity with supply chain operations, NPI processes, or contract manufacturing environments gives your application a measurable edge over generalist PM candidates.
How do I understand the sponsorship timeline for a Project Manager offer at Celestica?
Timeline depends heavily on which visa pathway applies. TN status can be obtained at the border for Canadian nationals in days. F-1 OPT authorization should already be in place before your start date. EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship involves a PERM filing with DOL, which can take six months or more before USCIS petition filing even begins. Clarify which pathway Celestica intends to use as early as the offer stage.
