Align Your Credentials to Healthcare Administration Standards
CHRISTUS Health's administrative roles often require familiarity with healthcare-specific systems like Epic or Meditech. Before applying, document any clinical scheduling, medical billing, or patient records experience on your resume so hiring managers can quickly match your background to their workflow.
Target Facilities With Active Sponsorship History
CHRISTUS Health operates across Texas, Louisiana, and several other states, and sponsorship activity is not uniform across every facility. Search OFLC disclosure data on the DOL website to identify which CHRISTUS locations have certified Labor Condition Applications for administrative roles before you prioritize applications.
Browse Open Roles Using Migrate Mate
Filter for Administrative Assistant openings at CHRISTUS Health by visa type using Migrate Mate, which aggregates sponsorship-verified healthcare employer listings. This saves time by surfacing only roles where sponsorship is a realistic outcome for your specific visa category.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope Early in Interviews
CHRISTUS Health sponsors both H-1B and employment-based Green Card pathways, but not every administrative opening is pre-approved for sponsorship. Ask the recruiter directly which roles have received internal approval for visa support before investing time in later interview rounds.
Prepare for H-1B Specialty Occupation Documentation
Administrative Assistant petitions face USCIS scrutiny over specialty occupation eligibility. Strengthen your H-1B filing by gathering evidence that your role requires a degree in a specific field, such as healthcare administration, business, or health information management, not just general office experience.
Account for PERM Timeline If Pursuing a Green Card
If CHRISTUS Health offers EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, the PERM labor certification process through DOL typically adds 12 to 18 months before your I-140 petition can be filed. Build that window into your planning so your H-1B status remains valid throughout the transition.

Does CHRISTUS Health sponsor H-1B visas for Administrative Assistants?
Yes, CHRISTUS Health has sponsored H-1B visas for Administrative Assistant roles. Because administrative positions must meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, your application is strongest when the role clearly requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration or business, and your credentials directly reflect that requirement.
Which visa types does CHRISTUS Health commonly sponsor for Administrative Assistant roles?
CHRISTUS Health sponsors both H-1B nonimmigrant visas and employment-based immigrant visas under the EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories for administrative staff. H-1B is the most common starting point for international candidates, while EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship typically becomes relevant once you're established in a long-term role and both parties are committed to permanent residency.
How do I apply for Administrative Assistant jobs at CHRISTUS Health?
Browse current Administrative Assistant openings at CHRISTUS Health through Migrate Mate, which lets you filter specifically for roles with visa sponsorship. Once you identify a position, apply directly through CHRISTUS Health's career portal. Tailor your application to highlight healthcare-relevant administrative skills, including familiarity with electronic health record systems, scheduling coordination, or clinical department support.
What qualifications does CHRISTUS Health expect for Administrative Assistant candidates seeking sponsorship?
Most CHRISTUS Health administrative roles require at minimum an associate's or bachelor's degree, with preference for backgrounds in healthcare administration, business, or a related field. Practical experience with medical office workflows, patient communication, or health information systems significantly strengthens your candidacy, particularly when the role needs to meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I estimate the timeline from job offer to starting work on a sponsored visa at CHRISTUS Health?
From the point of a job offer, your employer needs to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, which typically takes one to three weeks when certified. After that, USCIS standard H-1B processing runs three to five months, though premium processing can reduce USCIS adjudication to roughly 15 business days. Build in additional time for document gathering and legal review before the petition is ready to file.
