ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
How you’ll demonstrate Ownership:
- Breaking down complex requirements with the product manager, tech lead, and Office of the CTO, turning them into execution pieces and finding the right sequence
- Managing schedule, timelines, and milestones (i.e. alpha, beta, and GA)
- Driving the trade-offs between usability, go-to-market (GTM) lead time, features scope, technical debt/investment (i.e. across UX/PM/ENG/GTM) to maximize value for our customers and Cognite
- Drive end-to-end alignment from sales to delivery, security, and support
- Managing internal and external dependencies arising from end-to-end alignment
- Managing budgeting and resource needs
- Managing in-market product performance in scope of the program (e.g. usage metrics, cost drivers, required delivery effort, as well as quality, reliability, security etc.), ensuring those metrics are measured, reported, reviewed and acted upon
The Impact you bring to Cognite:
- We are looking for a TPM who doesn't just manage the process, but engineers it—using AI to make product development 10x more effective
- Automate the "toil" of program management
- Run complex, cross-discipline and cross-department programs that span research, engineering, and product
- Strong influencing skills: The ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus across the organization without formal reporting lines
- Structured, thorough and detail oriented
- Genuine interest in or direct experience on the full product lifecycle (product strategy, sales, delivery, adoption, support, sunsetting)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have experience from a SaaS company at scale
- Must have software development experience (any language) in developing, testing, deploying code for a software product
- Strong system design understanding, specifically regarding scalable systems, agentic and generative AI infrastructure, retrieval architectures, and the unique constraints of LLM-based products
- Proven ability to use AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude code, custom agents) to accelerate productivity
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Technical MSc degree or proven technical hands-on experience
- Experience in leading and managing product development teams, running sprints, scrums, making scoping trade-offs and assessing technical options with tech leads and architects
