Target clinical and allied health roles first
CoxHealth's sponsorship activity is concentrated in clinical and allied health positions. Nurses, therapists, and specialist clinicians are among the most commonly sponsored roles, so prioritize those job families when searching for visa-eligible openings at the system.
Understand that CoxHealth sponsors permanent residence, not temporary work visas
CoxHealth's sponsorship history is focused on Green Card pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, not H-1B or E-3 visas. If you need temporary work authorization first, clarify upfront whether the role includes a sponsored Green Card track from day one.
F-1 OPT and CPT candidates have a direct path in
CoxHealth supports F-1 OPT and CPT, which means students and recent graduates can gain U.S. healthcare experience while building toward permanent sponsorship. Applying during OPT is a practical way to establish yourself before pursuing a Green Card.
TN visa holders from Canada and Mexico should flag eligibility early
CoxHealth sponsors TN visas for qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible healthcare occupations. If you hold TN status or are eligible for it, mention this in your application, as it can simplify the path to employment while longer-term sponsorship is arranged.
Use Migrate Mate to verify CoxHealth's real sponsorship history
Sponsorship claims in job postings aren't always accurate. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can confirm CoxHealth's actual track record before investing time in an application, helping you focus energy on roles with genuine sponsorship intent.
Engage CoxHealth's HR team directly about immigration timelines
Healthcare Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 involves PERM labor certification, which takes time. Ask the recruiting team early about the expected sponsorship timeline so you can align it with your current visa status and any expiration deadlines.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does CoxHealth sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship records, CoxHealth does not have a track record of sponsoring H-1B visas. The system's sponsorship activity is focused on permanent residence pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards. If you currently hold H-1B status, you should confirm directly with CoxHealth's HR team whether they can support an H-1B transfer or whether the role is structured exclusively around Green Card sponsorship.
What visa types does CoxHealth sponsor?
CoxHealth sponsors Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa categories, as well as F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. TN visas are also supported for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals. The system's primary focus is long-term permanent residence sponsorship rather than temporary nonimmigrant visas.
Which roles at CoxHealth are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
CoxHealth's sponsorship is most commonly associated with clinical and allied health positions across its hospital and outpatient network. Registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and specialist clinical roles are among the positions where international candidates have historically received sponsorship. Corporate and administrative roles are less commonly sponsored, so direct outreach to the hiring manager or HR is advisable for those positions.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at CoxHealth?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find verified visa-sponsored openings at CoxHealth. Rather than relying on job postings that may not accurately reflect sponsorship availability, Migrate Mate filters roles by real sponsorship history, so you can identify positions where CoxHealth has an established pattern of supporting international candidates.
How do I approach the application process at CoxHealth as an international candidate?
Be transparent about your visa status and sponsorship needs from the first conversation with a recruiter. Because CoxHealth's sponsorship is centered on Green Card pathways, ask specifically about the PERM labor certification process and expected timelines. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm whether the role includes a Green Card track so you can plan around your work authorization window. Early clarity prevents surprises later in the hiring process.
