Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Professional Engineer Jobs at Deloitte Jobs
Get Your PE License Verified Early
Deloitte's engineering roles often require state licensure, not just a degree. Confirm your PE credentials are recognized in the state where you'll be placed before applications close, since license reciprocity timelines can delay your start date.
Target Deloitte's Government Advisory Practice
Professional Engineer openings tied to federal infrastructure and defense contracts move faster and sponsor more consistently than commercial practice roles. Search specifically within Deloitte's Government and Public Services sector when filtering open positions.
Align Your Resume to Deloitte's Client Delivery Model
Deloitte engineers are billed to client engagements, so your resume should emphasize project delivery outcomes and cross-functional collaboration, not just technical design work. Recruiters screen for consulting-ready experience alongside engineering credentials.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active Openings
Professional Engineer roles at Deloitte don't always surface through general job boards with sponsorship filters. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified visa-sponsoring openings at Deloitte and identify which practice areas are actively hiring engineers right now.
Understand PERM Timing for Green Card Pathways
If your goal is permanent residence through EB-2 or EB-3, DOL's PERM labor certification process begins after you're hired, not during recruitment. Ask your Deloitte recruiter whether your role qualifies and whether the firm initiates PERM at a defined tenure milestone.

Find Professional Engineer at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Engineers?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Professional Engineer roles across its practice areas. The firm participates in the annual H-1B lottery, so timing matters if you're on F-1 OPT or transitioning from another status. Deloitte also sponsors the H-1B1 for Singaporean and Chilean nationals and the E-3 for Australian citizens, giving qualified engineers more than one petition pathway depending on nationality.
How do I apply for Professional Engineer jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's careers portal, where you can filter by role and practice area. Professional Engineer openings are most concentrated in the Government and Public Services and Infrastructure Advisory practices. Applying through a referral from a current Deloitte employee significantly improves recruiter response rates. Migrate Mate also lists active visa-sponsoring Professional Engineer openings at Deloitte, which helps you target roles confirmed to support sponsorship.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for Professional Engineer roles?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for nonimmigrant work authorization, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for eligible engineers. The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens and offers a streamlined process without a lottery. H-1B1 applies to Singaporean and Chilean nationals. Your nationality determines which petition type Deloitte will file, so clarifying this early in the hiring process prevents delays at the offer stage.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Professional Engineer roles?
Deloitte typically expects a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline, along with an active Professional Engineer license in the applicable state. For consulting-facing roles, project management experience and familiarity with federal procurement or infrastructure delivery are valued alongside technical credentials. Roles supporting government clients may also require the ability to obtain a security clearance, which affects eligibility for foreign nationals in certain petition categories.
How long does Deloitte's visa sponsorship process take for Professional Engineers?
Timeline depends on visa type. E-3 and H-1B1 petitions typically resolve within a few weeks since they bypass the lottery. H-1B petitions are subject to the annual lottery in March, with approved petitions taking effect October 1. USCIS premium processing can reduce adjudication to 15 business days for I-129 petitions. If you're targeting a specific start date, discuss the petition timeline with your Deloitte recruiter before signing an offer letter.
