Translate your credentials into U.S. standards
Aviation manufacturing roles at Duncan Aviation often require FAA-recognized certifications. If your credentials are from outside the U.S., document how they align with FAA Airframe and Powerplant standards before applying, so hiring managers can assess your qualifications without guesswork.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open manufacturing roles
Duncan Aviation posts manufacturing openings across multiple locations and shifts. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles at Duncan Aviation that align with your visa type, so you're not manually tracking down which positions are realistically accessible to sponsored candidates.
Align your OPT or CPT timeline with MRO hiring cycles
Business aviation MRO facilities like Duncan Aviation hire on project and maintenance demand cycles. If you're on F-1 OPT, start your application at least 90 days before your authorization end date to allow time for onboarding, background checks, and E-Verify completion.
Prepare documentation before your offer stage
Once Duncan Aviation extends an offer, the employer-side PERM or petition process moves faster if your supporting documents are ready. Have your degree transcripts, prior employment verification, and any FAA certificates organized in advance so you don't create delays in the filing timeline.
Address the specialty occupation question for manufacturing
USCIS scrutinizes manufacturing roles carefully under specialty occupation definitions. Be prepared to show that your position requires a specific degree field, not just general mechanical aptitude, especially for roles in avionics, quality engineering, or technical production management.

Find Manufacturing at Duncan Aviation JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Duncan Aviation sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturings?
Duncan Aviation's primary sponsorship pathways for manufacturing roles are EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, along with F-1 OPT and J-1 for early-career candidates. H-1B sponsorship for manufacturing positions is less common in the MRO industry because many shop-floor roles are assessed against USCIS's specialty occupation criteria, which requires a direct degree-to-role connection.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Duncan Aviation?
Applications go through Duncan Aviation's careers portal, where manufacturing openings are listed by location and department. You can also find and filter Duncan Aviation manufacturing roles on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions relevant to your visa type. Tailoring your application to highlight FAA-related certifications and hands-on MRO experience improves your chances of moving forward.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manufacturing roles at Duncan Aviation?
Duncan Aviation supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates entering manufacturing roles, J-1 for exchange-based positions, and EB-2 or EB-3 for candidates pursuing permanent residence through employer sponsorship. The right pathway depends on your current status, degree level, and how long you've been in the U.S.
What qualifications does Duncan Aviation expect for Manufacturing positions?
Most manufacturing roles at Duncan Aviation require a combination of technical education and hands-on aviation or aerospace experience. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificates are highly relevant for maintenance-adjacent roles. Engineering or production management positions typically require a bachelor's degree in a related field, which also supports the specialty occupation requirement for immigrant visa petitions.
How do I understand the timeline for employer-sponsored visas in manufacturing?
For EB-3 sponsorship, the PERM labor certification process with DOL alone can take six months to over a year before USCIS even receives the petition. Factor in per-country priority date backlogs if you're from India or China. Starting conversations with Duncan Aviation well before your current work authorization expires gives you the best chance of a continuous status bridge.
