Align your credentials with FAA standards
Duncan Aviation operates under FAA repair station regulations, so operations roles often require familiarity with FAA Part 145 compliance or aviation safety protocols. Certifications like A&P licensure or quality inspection credentials strengthen your profile significantly before applying.
Target MRO-specific job boards first
General job boards surface Duncan Aviation postings inconsistently. Search directly on Duncan Aviation's careers portal and filter for operations openings at their Lincoln, Battle Creek, or Provo facilities, where staffing volume tends to be highest.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship roles
Aviation MRO employers don't always advertise sponsorship willingness upfront. Use Migrate Mate to identify Duncan Aviation operations postings tied to confirmed sponsorship pathways, so you're only investing time in applications that can actually move forward.
Time your OPT application around graduation carefully
If you're on F-1 OPT, you have a 60-day grace period after your program ends to secure employment. Applying to Duncan Aviation operations roles three to four months before graduation gives you runway to receive an offer before your authorized period begins.
Prepare for a multi-stage PERM timeline
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship requires DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS sees your petition. The full process from job posting to Green Card approval routinely takes two or more years, so negotiate role stability and sponsorship commitment explicitly before accepting an offer.
Document hands-on MRO experience precisely
USCIS specialty occupation reviews for operations roles scrutinize whether the position genuinely requires a degree. Detailed records of technical systems management, regulatory compliance work, or quality control responsibilities help establish that your role meets the specialty occupation standard.

Find Operations at Duncan Aviation JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Duncan Aviation sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Duncan Aviation's sponsorship activity for operations roles has centered on EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways rather than H-1B. H-1B sponsorship is possible but depends on whether the specific operations position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which requires a direct relationship between a required bachelor's degree and the role's core duties.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Duncan Aviation?
Apply directly through Duncan Aviation's careers portal at duncanaviation.aero, where all open operations roles are listed by location and department. Tailor your resume to highlight aviation maintenance coordination, regulatory compliance, or logistics experience relevant to MRO environments. You can also find sponsorship-confirmed Duncan Aviation operations postings on Migrate Mate before applying.
Which visa types does Duncan Aviation commonly use for Operations hires?
Duncan Aviation has sponsored operations candidates through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, as well as F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, and J-1 for exchange visitors. EB-3 is the most accessible pathway for operations roles that require technical training but may not meet the specialty occupation bar for H-1B classification.
What qualifications does Duncan Aviation expect for sponsored Operations roles?
Relevant experience in MRO operations, aviation logistics, or aircraft maintenance coordination is the baseline. Many roles benefit from an A&P mechanic certificate, a degree in aviation management or industrial technology, or documented experience with FAA Part 145 repair station compliance. Positions with supervisory or quality assurance components tend to receive stronger sponsorship consideration.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for Operations roles?
For EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, the PERM labor certification process alone typically takes six to twelve months at the DOL before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition. F-1 OPT transitions are faster, usually completing within weeks of an accepted offer. Building in lead time before your current work authorization expires is critical to avoiding gaps in employment eligibility.
