Map your degree to a specialty occupation
Genesys's renewable energy roles require a direct match between your degree field and the position. Use O*NET to confirm your target job title qualifies as a specialty occupation before you apply, not after you've received an offer.
Request an LCA before signing anything
Ask Genesys's HR team to confirm they'll file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before you accept an offer. An uncertified LCA blocks your visa application, so clarify this step during the offer stage, not the week before your interview.
Benchmark salary against prevailing wage early
Genesys must pay the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Use OFLC Wage Search to find the Level I or Level II wage for your specific occupation code before salary negotiations so you can flag any shortfall proactively.
Target engineering and operations teams directly
Genesys's E-3 sponsorship history is concentrated in technical roles supporting renewable energy infrastructure. Prioritize applications to engineering, project management, and energy systems teams rather than general business or administrative functions.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm Genesys's sponsorship track record
Before investing time in Genesys's application process, check Migrate Mate to see which roles and departments have received E-3 sponsorship. That filing history tells you where sponsorship approvals actually land inside the company.
Prepare for consular processing on a tight timeline
E-3 visas are issued at Australian consulates, not through USCIS. Once Genesys certifies your LCA, schedule your embassy appointment in Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth immediately. Appointment wait times vary by consulate and season, so don't delay after the LCA clears.
Genesys E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Genesys sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, Genesys does sponsor E-3 visas, primarily for technical and engineering roles in its renewable energy business. Sponsorship isn't guaranteed for every open position, so you'll want to confirm directly with the hiring team during the interview process that your specific role qualifies and that the company is prepared to file the required Labor Condition Application.
Which roles at Genesys are most likely to receive E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at Genesys is most commonly associated with roles in engineering, energy systems, and technical project management, where a directly related bachelor's degree is a clear job requirement. Roles in general administration or sales are less commonly sponsored because they're harder to qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria.
How do I start the E-3 application process at Genesys?
The process begins with Genesys filing a Labor Condition Application with DOL, which certifies your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for your role and location. Once the LCA is certified, you complete a DS-160, gather supporting documents including the LCA and an offer letter, and attend a visa interview at a U.S. consulate in Australia. USCIS is not involved in E-3 consular applications.
How long does E-3 sponsorship at Genesys typically take?
LCA certification through DOL usually takes around seven business days. After that, your timeline depends on consulate appointment availability in Australia, which can range from a few weeks to several months depending on location and season. Build at least six to eight weeks into your planning window from LCA filing to visa stamp in hand.
How do I know if Genesys has sponsored E-3 roles similar to mine?
Migrate Mate aggregates DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer, so you can see which job titles and departments at Genesys have historically received E-3 sponsorship. Reviewing that filing history before you apply helps you target the right teams and enter salary conversations with accurate prevailing wage benchmarks from OFLC Wage Search.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at Genesys?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
