Align your credentials to KELLER's project types
KELLER specializes in geotechnical and ground engineering, so frame your degree and experience around soil mechanics, foundation systems, or structural analysis. A CV that speaks directly to their project portfolio is far more compelling than a generalist engineering resume.
Verify your specialty occupation status early
E-3 requires that your role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria. Cross-check your target job title against the O*NET occupation profile before applying so you can demonstrate the required degree-field alignment during the interview process at KELLER.
Confirm KELLER's LCA filing before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before your E-3 application proceeds. Ask KELLER's HR team directly which entity will appear as your petitioning employer, since large construction firms sometimes sponsor through regional subsidiaries rather than the parent company.
Target roles in project delivery, not corporate support
KELLER's E-3 sponsorship activity concentrates in technical and project execution roles rather than back-office functions. Focus your applications on site engineering, geotechnical analysis, and construction management positions where your Australian qualifications translate most directly to their site-level work.
Use Migrate Mate to manage your E-3 filing after the offer
Once KELLER extends an offer and the LCA is certified, use Migrate Mate to handle the E-3 application paperwork at a flat fee. Their dedicated E-3 visa experts file within one business day, keeping your start date on track without the cost of a traditional immigration attorney.
Plan your consulate appointment around KELLER's project schedule
E-3 visas are issued for two-year periods and tied to a specific employer, so align your consulate appointment timing with KELLER's project start dates. Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth consulates each carry different wait times, and appointment slots can shift significantly week to week.
Keller North America, Inc. E-3 Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does KELLER sponsor E-3 visas?
Yes, KELLER sponsors E-3 visas for Australian nationals in qualifying specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship is most common in technical and project delivery functions within their geotechnical and construction engineering operations. Not every open role will carry E-3 eligibility, so confirming sponsorship availability with their HR or talent acquisition team early in the process is essential.
Which roles at KELLER typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship at KELLER is concentrated in roles that require a relevant bachelor's degree and involve direct technical or engineering work. Geotechnical engineers, project engineers, site managers, and construction analysts are the positions most likely to meet USCIS specialty occupation standards at a company focused on ground engineering and foundation solutions.
How do I start the E-3 application process with KELLER?
After receiving a job offer, KELLER's HR team initiates a Labor Condition Application with DOL, which must be certified before you can apply at a U.S. consulate in Australia. You then complete the DS-160, pay the MRV fee, and attend a consulate interview. Migrate Mate can manage the filing steps between offer and interview to keep the process on schedule.
How long does the E-3 sponsorship process take at KELLER?
The DOL LCA certification typically takes around seven business days. After that, your consulate appointment timeline depends on availability at Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth. Total time from offer to visa stamp usually runs four to eight weeks for straightforward cases, though consulate backlogs in peak periods can extend that window.
How do I strengthen my E-3 application for a KELLER role?
Ensure your degree field directly maps to the job description KELLER provides, since consular officers assess specialty occupation fit at the interview. Bring the certified LCA, your offer letter specifying your role and salary, academic transcripts, and any professional registrations. Engineering credentials recognized in Australia are generally accepted by USCIS as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 sponsorship at KELLER?
E-3 employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, determined when they file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, ensuring Australian hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
