Align your credentials with DOL wage levels
Equipment Depot's Green Card filings require a PERM labor certification tied to a specific prevailing wage. Review DOL wage data for Manufacturing Technician roles in your target metro before applying so your salary expectations match what the company can certify.
Pursue roles across multiple depot locations
Equipment Depot operates service and distribution centers across many states. Applying to multiple locations increases your chances of landing a role at a site where a hiring manager has prior experience working with international candidates and the sponsorship pipeline.
Document hands-on equipment experience precisely
PERM job descriptions for technician roles often require narrow, verifiable qualifications. List specific equipment types, maintenance systems, and certifications you hold so your background matches the exact requirements USCIS and DOL will evaluate during the Green Card process.
Clarify sponsorship intent early in interviews
Distribution and wholesale employers sometimes conflate visa sponsorship with H-1B lottery risk. During interviews, clarify that EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship does not involve a lottery, which removes a common objection hiring managers raise before extending an offer.
Build a PERM-ready employment timeline
EB-3 sponsorship through PERM can take one to two years from filing to approval, not counting any priority date backlog. Before accepting an offer, confirm that your current visa status gives you enough runway to reach the I-140 approval stage without gaps in work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to find open technician roles
Manufacturing Technician openings at Equipment Depot that include visa sponsorship are not always flagged consistently on general job boards. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Equipment Depot roles verified to support employment-based sponsorship, so you target positions where the pathway already exists.

Find Manufacturing Technician at Equipment Depot JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Equipment Depot sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Technicians?
Equipment Depot's sponsorship activity for Manufacturing Technician roles has centered on employment-based Green Card pathways rather than H-1B visas. Manufacturing Technician positions are typically classified as skilled trades, which align more naturally with EB-3 sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process. If you're exploring this route, confirm the sponsorship type with the recruiter before advancing in the interview process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manufacturing Technician roles at Equipment Depot?
Manufacturing Technician roles at Equipment Depot are most commonly supported through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, both of which require PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor. EB-3 is the more common path for skilled trades positions. These are Green Card sponsorship routes, not temporary work visas, so the process involves a longer timeline than an H-1B transfer but results in permanent residency.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Manufacturing Technician roles at Equipment Depot?
Equipment Depot typically looks for candidates with hands-on experience in industrial or material handling equipment maintenance, including lift trucks, forklifts, or related machinery. Relevant certifications in hydraulics, electrical systems, or manufacturer-specific training strengthen an application. Because PERM filings require the employer to define minimum requirements precisely, your resume should reflect exact technical skills and equipment types rather than general maintenance experience.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Technician jobs at Equipment Depot?
You can find Manufacturing Technician openings at Equipment Depot on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles verified to include visa sponsorship so you're not guessing whether a position supports international candidates. Apply directly through the company's careers portal, and prepare to discuss your work authorization status and Green Card sponsorship needs early in the recruiter screening call to avoid wasted steps on both sides.
How do I plan my timeline around Equipment Depot's Green Card sponsorship process?
From the time your employer files a PERM application with the DOL to receiving an approved I-140 from USCIS, the process typically spans one to two years before any priority date considerations. If you're on OPT or a visa with a fixed end date, map out whether your current status covers that window. USCIS premium processing is available for the I-140 stage but not for PERM itself, so plan accordingly and discuss timelines with the hiring team before signing an offer.
