Frame your credentials around equipment operations
Equipment Depot operates in industrial distribution, so certifications in forklift fleet management, warehouse safety compliance, or supply chain operations carry real weight. Document these credentials formally before applying, since PERM labor certification requires detailed proof of your qualifications.
Target branch-level operations openings strategically
Equipment Depot staffs operations roles at individual service and distribution branches, not just corporate. Applying to branch-level postings often means working with a regional hiring manager who has more direct influence over sponsorship decisions than a centralized HR team.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the offer stage
Distribution employers sometimes move fast on operations hires. Raise visa sponsorship directly once you have a hiring manager's attention but before a formal offer, so there's no last-minute misalignment when the company's legal team gets involved.
Understand the EB-2 and EB-3 filing timeline
Equipment Depot sponsors through employment-based Green Card categories that require a PERM labor certification filed with DOL before USCIS processes your immigrant visa petition. From PERM filing to an approved petition can take well over a year, so start the conversation with your manager early.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open operations roles
Operations postings at Equipment Depot turn over regularly as branch needs shift. Search Migrate Mate to filter for current openings at Equipment Depot specifically, so you're applying to active roles where sponsorship is already part of the hiring context.
Prepare for E-Verify employment verification on day one
Equipment Depot participates in E-Verify, which means your work authorization status is confirmed electronically when you're hired. Have your visa documentation, I-94 admission record, and any Employment Authorization Document organized and ready before your start date.

Does Equipment Depot sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Equipment Depot's documented sponsorship activity for Operations roles is focused on employment-based Green Card categories rather than H-1B visas. H-1B sponsorship is more common for specialty occupation roles that require a directly related bachelor's degree, and many operations positions are structured differently. If you're already in valid H-1B status through another employer, a transfer to Equipment Depot is worth discussing directly with their HR team.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Equipment Depot?
Operations roles at Equipment Depot are posted at the branch and regional level, so availability shifts frequently. You can browse current openings filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight hands-on experience with industrial equipment, warehouse systems, or service logistics, since Equipment Depot operates in the material handling and distribution space and values operational depth over generalist backgrounds.
Which visa types does Equipment Depot commonly use for Operations sponsorship?
Equipment Depot's sponsorship for Operations roles follows the employment-based Green Card pathway, primarily EB-2 and EB-3 categories. EB-3 is the most common route for skilled operations professionals in distribution and wholesale. Both categories require a PERM labor certification filed with DOL, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS, before you can move toward permanent residence.
What qualifications does Equipment Depot expect for sponsored Operations roles?
Operations roles at Equipment Depot typically require demonstrated experience in warehouse or distribution environments, often with exposure to fleet coordination, inventory management, or service workflow oversight. Relevant certifications in logistics, occupational safety, or industrial equipment handling strengthen your application. For Green Card sponsorship, the PERM process will define the minimum qualifications formally, and your background must meet or exceed those stated requirements.
How long does the sponsorship process take for an Equipment Depot Operations role?
The employment-based Green Card process for an Operations role involves multiple stages: PERM labor certification with DOL can take six months to over a year, followed by an I-140 petition with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth and the visa bulletin priority date backlog, total time from PERM filing to Green Card approval can range from one year to several years. Starting the process as early as possible after your hire date matters significantly.
