Document your equipment certifications before applying
Equipment Depot hires for forklift, overhead crane, and industrial equipment maintenance. Gather your service certifications, OEM training records, and any manufacturer-specific credentials upfront. USCIS requires detailed evidence of specialized skills during the EB-2 or EB-3 petition process.
Target field service and fleet maintenance postings
Equipment Depot's open Maintenance roles span depot, field, and preventive maintenance functions. Focus on postings that specify electrical, hydraulic, or diesel systems experience. These roles are more likely to meet the specialty occupation or skilled worker threshold required for employer-sponsored permanent residency.
Ask about PERM sponsorship during the offer stage
EB-3 sponsorship for Maintenance roles typically requires the employer to complete PERM labor certification through DOL before filing with USCIS. Raise this during offer negotiations, not after signing, so both sides align on timeline expectations early.
Prepare for a multi-year sponsorship timeline
EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card cases can take several years from PERM filing to visa issuance, depending on your country of birth and priority date movement. Factor this into your planning so you understand status maintenance requirements throughout the process.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Equipment Depot maintenance openings
Searching broad job boards makes it hard to identify which postings are realistically open to sponsored candidates. Use Migrate Mate to filter Equipment Depot's Maintenance jobs by visa sponsorship type so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Verify your work authorization status before the start date
Equipment Depot participates in E-Verify, meaning your identity and employment eligibility are checked electronically against federal records. Ensure your I-94, EAD, or other authorization document is current and consistent with what you provide on your I-9 before your first day.

Does Equipment Depot sponsor H-1B visas for Maintenances?
Equipment Depot's confirmed sponsorship activity for Maintenance roles is in the EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories, not H-1B. Maintenance positions in distribution and wholesale typically fall under skilled worker classifications rather than specialty occupations, which is why permanent residency pathways are the more common route here rather than H-1B nonimmigrant status.
Which visa types are commonly used for Maintenance roles at Equipment Depot?
The EB-3 skilled worker Green Card is the most common pathway for Maintenance positions at Equipment Depot, covering roles that require training or experience but not necessarily a four-year degree. EB-2 sponsorship may apply if the role requires an advanced degree or the employer can demonstrate exceptional merit. Both require PERM labor certification through DOL before USCIS petition filing.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Maintenance jobs at Equipment Depot?
Equipment Depot typically looks for hands-on experience servicing material handling equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, or reach trucks. Relevant certifications from OEMs or trade programs strengthen your application significantly. Electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic systems knowledge, and field service experience are consistently referenced across Maintenance postings in their distribution and wholesale operations.
How do I apply for Maintenance jobs at Equipment Depot?
You can find Equipment Depot's open Maintenance positions through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to the specific equipment types and service environments listed in the posting. Highlight any certifications, preventive maintenance programs you've worked in, and manufacturer-specific training completed.
How do I plan my timeline for Equipment Depot's Green Card sponsorship process?
EB-3 sponsorship through Equipment Depot begins with PERM labor certification at the DOL, which can take six months to over a year before the USCIS petition is even filed. After approval, your priority date must become current before you can adjust status or apply for an immigrant visa. For applicants born in high-demand countries, total timelines can extend significantly beyond the initial filing dates.
