Frame your bilingual skills as a business asset
First Help Financial serves immigrant and underbanked communities, so fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or another language directly supports their lending operations. Highlight bilingual customer service experience in your resume and cover letter as operationally relevant, not just a bonus.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before applying
As a financial services employer, First Help Financial is almost certainly enrolled in E-Verify. Check their careers page or job postings for the E-Verify notice, which signals active infrastructure for work authorization verification and a smoother onboarding process for sponsored candidates.
Start the H-1B timeline conversation early in the offer stage
H-1B cap-subject filings open in March for an October 1 start. If you're interviewing in the fall or winter, raise your authorization timeline before an offer is extended so both sides can plan around the lottery window and avoid a gap in employment.
Target open Customer Support roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Customer Support openings at First Help Financial that match your visa type. This saves time screening out roles that won't lead to sponsorship and surfaces positions where the company has an active hiring need.
Align your degree field to the specialty occupation standard
For H-1B eligibility, your Customer Support role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring a degree in a specific field. Finance, business administration, or economics credentials strengthen this argument at a consumer lending company more than a general arts degree would.
Use OPT or CPT strategically to build your candidacy first
If you're on an F-1 visa, starting in a Customer Support role under OPT gives First Help Financial time to evaluate your performance before committing to H-1B sponsorship. USCIS allows up to 12 months of OPT, with a 24-month STEM extension available in qualifying cases.

Find Customer Support at First Help Financial JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does First Help Financial sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Support roles?
Yes, First Help Financial has sponsored H-1B visas for workers in its operations, including customer-facing roles. Sponsorship is not automatic with any offer, so it's worth confirming directly with the hiring team or recruiter during the interview process. Roles that meet the specialty occupation standard under USCIS guidelines are the most straightforward path to H-1B eligibility at a company like this.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at First Help Financial?
You can apply through First Help Financial's careers page or find their open Customer Support positions on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type. Tailor your application to highlight experience in consumer lending, loan servicing, or customer account management. If you have bilingual skills relevant to their borrower base, make that visible in both your resume and application.
Which visa types are commonly used for Customer Support roles at First Help Financial?
First Help Financial has sponsored H-1B visas and also works with F-1 OPT and CPT candidates for Customer Support positions. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree, and where you are in your authorization timeline. Confirm which pathway applies to your situation before you apply.
What qualifications and experience are expected for Customer Support roles at First Help Financial?
First Help Financial focuses on auto lending for underserved borrowers, so Customer Support candidates who have experience in loan servicing, collections, or consumer finance have a clear advantage. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish are valued given the company's borrower demographics. A background in financial services or banking, even at an entry level, strengthens your application significantly over general customer service experience.
How do I time my application around visa sponsorship requirements at First Help Financial?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, the cap-subject filing window opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. That means you should aim to secure an offer by late winter to give the employer time to prepare the petition. For F-1 OPT candidates, your 60-day grace period after your program end date gives you limited runway, so start your application process well before OPT authorization expires.
