Frame credentials around regulatory project delivery
Fitch's project management hires routinely oversee compliance-driven initiatives tied to SEC reporting cycles and rating methodology rollouts. Certifications like PMP or PMI-ACP carry more weight here when paired with demonstrated experience managing regulated financial workflows, not just general delivery.
Target roles tied to Fitch's ratings technology buildout
Fitch has been investing heavily in data platforms and analytics infrastructure. Senior PM openings connected to these initiatives tend to involve longer project cycles, which strengthens the case for H-1B or EB-2 sponsorship because the employer has a sustained, specialized need.
Raise visa sponsorship after a verbal offer, not before
At a firm like Fitch, sponsorship conversations belong after the hiring manager signals intent. Bringing it up in early rounds can stall momentum. Once the offer is verbal, HR's immigration team handles the specifics and will initiate LCA filing with DOL on your behalf.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Senior PM roles at Fitch
Fitch's senior project management openings aren't always well-indexed outside their own careers page. Search Migrate Mate to surface current sponsorship-eligible roles at Fitch and filter by visa type so you're only reviewing positions where your authorization path is confirmed.
Prepare a concise specialty occupation summary before your interview
For H-1B filings, USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Before interviews, document how your PM work at Fitch would draw on specialized knowledge in finance, risk analysis, or information systems, not generalized management.

Does Fitch Ratings sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
Yes, Fitch Ratings sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Project Management roles. The key requirement is that the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning it demands at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as finance, information systems, or a related discipline. Fitch's internal immigration team works with outside counsel to manage the LCA filing with DOL and the subsequent H-1B petition.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at Fitch Ratings?
Applications go through Fitch's official careers portal, where Senior Project Management roles are listed under their technology, operations, or enterprise delivery functions. You can also browse sponsorship-confirmed openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces Fitch listings filtered by visa type. Tailor your application to highlight experience managing cross-functional financial services projects, particularly those with regulatory or data infrastructure components.
Which visa types does Fitch Ratings commonly sponsor for Senior Project Management roles?
Fitch sponsors H-1B visas as the primary long-term work authorization path for Senior Project Management professionals. The company also supports E-3 visas for Australian citizens, TN visas for qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates in academic programs. For longer-term sponsorship, Fitch has filed EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions through the PERM labor certification process for this function.
What qualifications does Fitch Ratings expect for Senior Project Management positions?
Fitch typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in finance, business, information systems, or a related field, combined with substantial experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects in financial services or a regulated industry. Formal project management certifications such as PMP are viewed favorably. Experience with data platform migrations, regulatory compliance initiatives, or ratings technology is particularly relevant given Fitch's current infrastructure priorities.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Senior Project Management role at Fitch?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so new hires who need H-1B status typically wait up to six months from offer to start. E-3 and TN visas can be processed at a consulate in weeks. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 takes significantly longer, often one to three years or more depending on your country of birth and USCIS processing queues.
