Align Your Credentials to U.S. OT Standards
If your OT degree came from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before applying. Genuine Parts Company's hiring teams expect licensure or eligibility verification upfront, so having this ready removes a common early barrier.
Target Genuine Parts Company's Distribution and Corporate Roles
OT roles at Genuine Parts Company span both corporate wellness programs and operational rehabilitation support across their automotive distribution network. Focusing your application on sites with large workforce operations improves your chances of reaching a team with active sponsorship bandwidth.
Clarify Sponsorship Willingness in the First Recruiter Call
Genuine Parts Company sponsors multiple visa types, but individual hiring managers may not know the full scope. Ask the recruiter directly which visa categories their team has processed for OT hires before the offer stage to avoid late-stage surprises.
Understand the H-1B Cap Timeline Before Accepting an Offer
If you need an H-1B, the annual cap and April 1 filing window affect when you can start. If you receive an offer outside that window, ask whether the company will file for the next available lottery cycle and bridge your status in the meantime.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open OT Roles with Active Sponsorship
Search Migrate Mate's job board to browse OT positions at Genuine Parts Company filtered by visa type. This lets you identify which roles are actively open and confirm sponsorship eligibility before investing time in the application process.
Prepare for PERM Documentation if Targeting Permanent Residency
If Genuine Parts Company offers EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship for your OT role, the PERM labor certification process through DOL requires documenting your qualifications and the recruitment effort. Gather employment records and degree transcripts early so the process moves without delays on your end.

Find OT at Genuine Parts Company JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Genuine Parts Company sponsor H-1B visas for OTs?
Yes, Genuine Parts Company has a history of sponsoring H-1B visas for OT roles. The H-1B is the most common work visa for specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher, and OT qualifies. You'll need to confirm sponsorship intent with the recruiter early, since H-1B filings are subject to the annual cap and must be submitted to USCIS in April for an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for OT jobs at Genuine Parts Company?
Start by browsing open OT positions on Migrate Mate, which lists Genuine Parts Company roles filtered by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. From there, apply directly through the company's careers portal. Tailor your resume to reflect U.S. licensure status or eligibility, and be ready to confirm your visa situation in the initial recruiter screening call.
Which visa types does Genuine Parts Company commonly use for OT roles?
Genuine Parts Company sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for OT positions. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose OT credentials meet USMCA requirements. F-1 OPT and CPT work best if you're currently completing a U.S.-based OT program. Green Card sponsorship through PERM is typically offered after a period of employment.
What qualifications does Genuine Parts Company expect for OT candidates?
Genuine Parts Company expects OT candidates to hold a master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program, which is now the entry-level standard in the U.S. You'll also need to have passed or be eligible to sit for the NBCOT certification exam. For roles supporting operational or ergonomics programs across their automotive distribution facilities, experience in industrial or workplace rehabilitation is a practical differentiator.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for OT hires at Genuine Parts Company?
Timeline depends on the visa type. F-1 OPT authorization from USCIS takes up to 90 days, so apply early. H-1B sponsorship follows a fixed cycle: lottery registration opens in March, filing happens in April, and the earliest start date is October 1. EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically takes one to three years from initiation, depending on your priority date and country of birth.
