Frame Your Credentials Around Clinical Research Settings
IQVIA OT roles often sit within decentralized clinical trials or patient support programs, not traditional rehab settings. Tailor your resume and licensure documentation to reflect functional assessments, outcomes measurement, or patient adherence work relevant to life sciences consulting.
Confirm LCA Filing Before Accepting Any Offer
Before signing, ask your recruiter whether the Labor Condition Application has been submitted to DOL for your specific work location. IQVIA deploys OTs across client sites, so your LCA must reflect the correct prevailing wage area, not just a corporate headquarters address.
Target Roles Supporting Decentralized Trial Units
IQVIA's consulting arm runs patient-centered study designs that require licensed OTs embedded in the project team. Searching specifically for decentralized clinical trial or patient engagement postings surfaces OT openings that standard therapy job boards miss entirely.
Align Your OPT Start Date With IQVIA Hiring Cycles
IQVIA recruits OTs on a rolling basis tied to contract awards, not a fixed annual cycle. Activate your F-1 OPT as close as possible to a confirmed project start date, since unused OPT days cannot be recovered if onboarding delays push your employment past your authorized period.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Verified OT Sponsorship Openings
Browse OT roles at IQVIA with confirmed sponsorship history using Migrate Mate, which filters open positions by visa type so you're not wasting applications on postings that exclude international candidates.
Request Green Card Timeline Clarity Before Your H-1B Cap Runs Out
IQVIA sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, but PERM labor certification for consulting roles can take 18 to 24 months. Ask your HR contact directly whether your OT position qualifies for PERM filing and at what point in the engagement that process typically begins.

Find OT at IQVIA JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does IQVIA sponsor H-1B visas for OTs?
Yes, IQVIA sponsors H-1B visas for OT roles. Because IQVIA deploys OTs across client sites, each position requires a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL reflecting the correct work location and prevailing wage. Confirm with your recruiter that the LCA covers your specific assignment site before your H-1B petition is filed with USCIS.
How do I apply for OT jobs at IQVIA?
Apply directly through IQVIA's careers portal, filtering by 'occupational therapist' or related clinical titles. Many OT openings are tied to specific contracts or decentralized trial programs, so postings can appear and close quickly. Migrate Mate aggregates IQVIA's open OT roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it easier to identify relevant positions as they become available.
Which visa types does IQVIA commonly use for OT roles?
IQVIA supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students completing clinical fieldwork or early-career roles, H-1B for licensed OTs in specialty occupation positions, and TN visa status for Canadian and Mexican citizens where OT qualifies under USMCA professional categories. For longer-term employees, IQVIA also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways through PERM labor certification.
What qualifications does IQVIA expect for OT positions?
IQVIA typically expects an accredited master's or doctoral OT degree, current state licensure, and a background in clinical research, functional outcomes, or patient engagement rather than purely clinical treatment settings. Experience supporting real-world evidence studies, decentralized clinical trials, or health technology assessments is a meaningful differentiator for consulting-facing OT roles at the company.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for IQVIA OT hires?
H-1B sponsorship timelines depend on USCIS processing, which currently runs three to six months for standard processing and one to two weeks with premium processing. If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, IQVIA must file your H-1B petition before your OPT expires. For permanent residency through EB-2 or EB-3, expect 18 to 24 months for PERM certification alone before USCIS petition filing begins.
