Align your credentials to life sciences consulting
IQVIA's Sales Business Development roles sit at the intersection of pharma, biotech, and data services. Tailor your resume to show domain knowledge in life sciences markets, not just general B2B sales experience, before you apply.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
IQVIA operates as a federal contractor, which means E-Verify participation is required. Confirming this early removes uncertainty about whether the company can legally onboard you while your sponsorship petition is pending with USCIS.
Target roles tied to IQVIA's commercial solutions division
Business development openings within IQVIA's commercial and technology solutions units have historically moved candidates through sponsorship faster than generalist sales roles. Filter your search toward those divisions when identifying positions to prioritize.
Use Migrate Mate to surface IQVIA sponsorship openings
Sponsored roles at IQVIA are not always flagged as such in standard job boards. Migrate Mate's job board filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers, letting you find current Sales Business Development openings at IQVIA without manually sorting through postings.
Negotiate your start date around H-1B cap timelines
If you need a new H-1B petition, USCIS only accepts cap-subject filings in April for an October 1 start. Build this into your offer negotiation so your start date aligns with your authorized period, avoiding gaps in work authorization.
Prepare your LCA documentation before the offer stage
IQVIA must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting your H-1B petition. Gathering your employment verification letters, transcripts, and degree evaluations in advance speeds up the employer's internal HR and legal process significantly.

Find Sales Business Development at IQVIA JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does IQVIA sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Business Developments?
Yes, IQVIA sponsors H-1B visas for Sales Business Development roles, particularly within its commercial solutions and life sciences consulting divisions. As a large federal contractor enrolled in E-Verify, IQVIA has established immigration processes in place. Your role will need to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which is generally straightforward for positions requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher.
How do I apply for Sales Business Development jobs at IQVIA?
Apply directly through IQVIA's careers portal, searching for Sales or Business Development titles filtered by region. Migrate Mate also lists current IQVIA openings that are open to visa sponsorship, which saves time if you want to confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. Tailor your application to highlight life sciences industry knowledge and client-facing revenue experience, as those are the qualifiers IQVIA prioritizes for this function.
Which visa types does IQVIA commonly use for Sales Business Development roles?
IQVIA sponsors H-1B visas for most full-time Sales Business Development hires who require employer-filed petitions. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates entering the role, and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying positions. For longer-term pathways, IQVIA has pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for employees in this function who have demonstrated sustained performance.
What qualifications does IQVIA expect for Sales Business Development roles?
IQVIA typically looks for a bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field, combined with client-facing sales or account management experience in pharma, biotech, or healthcare data services. Familiarity with IQVIA's product lines, such as real-world evidence solutions or commercial data platforms, strengthens your candidacy. For H-1B eligibility, your degree field should have a direct and logical connection to the role's core responsibilities.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take at IQVIA?
For H-1B cap-subject petitions, the process runs from April filing to an October 1 start date, assuming lottery selection. USCIS standard processing runs several months, though premium processing can return a decision in two to three weeks for an additional fee. LCA certification through the DOL typically takes seven business days. Starting conversations with IQVIA's HR team at least three to four months before you need authorization gives the process room to run without delays.
