Frame Your Credentials Around Life Sciences Delivery
IQVIA's Professional Services roles sit at the intersection of consulting and healthcare technology. Before applying, align your resume to project delivery, clinical data systems, or pharma client work so your specialty occupation case is concrete, not generic.
Target Roles With Active LCA Filings
Search the DOL's FLAG system for IQVIA Labor Condition Applications tied to consultant titles. Active LCAs signal which locations and salary levels IQVIA is actively hiring for, so you can apply to roles where a sponsorship pathway is already in motion.
Clarify OPT or CPT Eligibility Before Your First Interview
If you're on F-1 status, confirm whether the role qualifies for STEM OPT extension. IQVIA's consulting positions often involve data analytics work that satisfies STEM OPT criteria, but you need to verify your specific job code with your DSO before accepting an offer.
Understand the TN Pathway If You Hold Canadian Citizenship
Canadian citizens can enter under TN status in the Management Consultant category, which IQVIA has used for professional services hires. The TN doesn't require USCIS pre-approval, so your start date can move faster than a standard H-1B filing allows.
Ask About Green Card Sponsorship During Offer Negotiation
IQVIA sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for consulting staff, but the PERM labor certification process can take a year or more before USCIS even receives the petition. Raising the timeline in the offer stage lets you plan your H-1B renewals around it.
Browse Open Roles on Migrate Mate Before Applying Directly
Use Migrate Mate to filter IQVIA's Professional Services Consultant openings by visa type before you approach the company directly. Knowing which roles are actively tied to sponsorship saves you from pursuing positions where immigration support isn't already built into the hiring plan.

Find Professional Services Consultant at IQVIA JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does IQVIA sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants?
Yes, IQVIA sponsors H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants. The company has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for this role category, which typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given the degree requirements in fields like data science, life sciences, or information technology. You'll want to confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter early in the process, since not every open role is approved for sponsorship at the time of posting.
How do I apply for Professional Services Consultant jobs at IQVIA?
You can apply through IQVIA's careers portal directly or browse visa-sponsorship-confirmed openings on Migrate Mate before applying. When you apply, highlight delivery experience on pharma, biotech, or healthcare technology projects, since IQVIA's consulting practice is almost entirely life sciences focused. Tailor your application to the specific service line, whether that's commercial, real-world evidence, or technology implementation.
Which visa types does IQVIA commonly use for Professional Services Consultant roles?
IQVIA sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for this role, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates. Canadian citizens are sometimes hired under TN status in the Management Consultant category. For longer-term hires, IQVIA has supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM process, particularly for consultants who have built tenure in the organization.
What qualifications does IQVIA expect for Professional Services Consultant roles?
IQVIA typically expects a bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the work, such as life sciences, computer science, health informatics, or business analytics. Client-facing project delivery experience is weighted heavily, particularly if it involves clinical data, CRM platforms, or pharmaceutical commercial operations. Candidates with hands-on experience in IQVIA's own technology stack, including OCE or Orchestrated Customer Engagement tools, tend to advance faster in the process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Professional Services Consultant at IQVIA?
Timeline depends on your current status. F-1 OPT candidates can start within weeks if OPT is already approved. H-1B transfers from another employer can begin on day one under portability rules, provided you've been in valid H-1B status for at least 60 days. New H-1B cap cases require winning the lottery, with an October 1 start date at the earliest. TN for Canadians can be arranged at the border with no USCIS processing delay.
