Frame your experience around technical client support
GFT's Customer Support roles serve enterprise software and fintech clients, not general consumers. Tailor your resume to show experience troubleshooting technical platforms, managing escalations, or supporting B2B clients in a technology environment.
Confirm H-1B eligibility for your specific role
Not every Customer Support title qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree in a technical or business field are stronger candidates than generalist support titles, so clarify the degree requirement with the recruiter early.
Ask the recruiter about petition timing upfront
If you're already in the U.S. on a different visa, ask GFT's hiring team whether they file H-1B petitions for a change of status or require consular processing. The answer affects your timeline and whether you can stay in the U.S. during adjudication.
Use Migrate Mate to track GFT's Customer Support openings
GFT posts Customer Support roles across multiple locations and they fill quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter for GFT roles that align with your visa situation so you're applying to live openings suited to your sponsorship needs.
Prepare documentation that supports specialty occupation status
Gather transcripts, certifications, and job descriptions from previous employers that show your technical background. USCIS scrutinizes Customer Support petitions closely, so a clear paper trail connecting your degree field to the role's duties strengthens your H-1B case.

Find Customer Support at GFT JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does GFT sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Supports?
Yes, GFT has sponsored H-1B visas for Customer Support roles. Because GFT operates in the technology and software sector and serves enterprise clients globally, its Customer Support positions often require specialized technical or business knowledge that can satisfy the USCIS specialty occupation standard. Confirming the degree requirement for the specific role you're applying to is the most important first step.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at GFT?
Start by browsing GFT's open Customer Support positions on their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, emphasize technical support experience and familiarity with enterprise software environments. After submitting your application, be prepared to confirm your visa status early in the recruiter screening call, since GFT will need to assess sponsorship feasibility before extending an offer.
Which visa types does GFT use for Customer Support roles?
GFT's primary sponsorship pathway for Customer Support roles is the H-1B visa, which requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS guidelines. If the role involves managing client relationships across international operations, an L-1 intracompany transferee visa may also be relevant for internal candidates. International candidates on F-1 OPT can work at GFT without immediate H-1B sponsorship during their authorized OPT period.
What qualifications does GFT expect for Customer Support roles?
GFT's Customer Support roles in the technology and software sector generally require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, business, or a related discipline. Practical experience supporting enterprise software platforms, managing client escalations, or working in a B2B technology environment strengthens your profile. Language skills and experience with financial services or banking technology are frequently cited in GFT's job postings for this function.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at GFT?
The H-1B cap registration period opens each March for an October 1 employment start date. If GFT selects you through the lottery and files a successful petition, you cannot begin work until October 1 at the earliest under a cap-subject petition. Starting your job search and application process in the fall or winter before the March registration window gives both you and GFT's immigration team the most time to prepare the filing accurately.
