Frame your credentials around client-facing delivery
GFT's Business Manager roles typically require experience managing technology projects or client accounts in financial services. Tailor your resume to show ownership of deliverables, cross-functional coordination, and measurable outcomes tied to software or IT service environments.
Target GFT's financial services practice areas
GFT operates heavily in banking, insurance, and capital markets technology. Prioritize open Business Manager roles tied to these verticals, since your domain knowledge directly strengthens your petition when your employer justifies the specialty occupation requirement to USCIS.
Clarify sponsorship intent before final interview rounds
GFT does sponsor H-1B visas for Business Manager roles, but not every hiring manager controls that decision. Ask HR directly during the offer stage whether sponsorship is available for the specific position, so you're not negotiating blind after an offer lands.
Understand how H-1B cap timing affects your start date
If you need a new H-1B cap filing, USCIS only accepts petitions in April for an October 1 start date. Build that into your job search timeline with GFT so an offer extended in summer doesn't leave you waiting nearly a year to begin work.
Document your degree-to-role connection clearly
USCIS requires Business Manager roles to qualify as specialty occupations, meaning your degree field must directly relate to the position. If your background is in information systems, business administration, or a related technical discipline, make that connection explicit in every application document.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active openings
GFT posts Business Manager roles across multiple locations and practice areas, and openings move quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track GFT's current H-1B-eligible Business Manager listings so you're applying to roles that are actively open for sponsored candidates.

Find Business Manager at GFT JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does GFT sponsor H-1B visas for Business Managers?
Yes, GFT sponsors H-1B visas for Business Manager positions. The company operates in technology and financial services, and its Business Manager roles typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, which is the threshold required for H-1B eligibility. Sponsorship availability can vary by specific role and location, so confirm directly with GFT's recruiting team during the offer process.
How do I apply for Business Manager jobs at GFT?
Apply through GFT's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to find and track open Business Manager roles that are eligible for visa sponsorship. Tailor your application to highlight experience in technology project management or client account delivery, particularly within financial services. GFT's hiring process typically includes multiple interview rounds covering both technical domain knowledge and leadership competencies.
Which visa types are commonly used for Business Manager roles at GFT?
The H-1B is the primary visa category GFT uses for Business Manager positions. If you're currently on OPT or STEM OPT, you can begin work while a cap-season H-1B petition is pending. GFT does not appear to regularly sponsor L-1 or O-1 visas for this specific role type based on its sponsorship history.
What qualifications does GFT expect for Business Manager candidates?
GFT generally looks for a bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, management, or a related field, combined with experience managing technology projects or client engagements in financial services. Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks, stakeholder management, and cross-functional team coordination is commonly required. A direct connection between your degree field and the role is important for H-1B specialty occupation classification.
How do I time my job search at GFT around H-1B filing deadlines?
If you need a new H-1B cap filing, USCIS opens registration in March and petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. Aim to secure an offer from GFT by February or early March to give your employer enough lead time. If you're transferring an existing H-1B, there's no cap constraint and you can start as soon as USCIS receives the petition.
