Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Electrical Project Engineer Jobs at GFT Jobs
Align your credentials to GFT's engineering scope
GFT's Electrical Project Engineer roles typically span power systems, low-voltage infrastructure, and technology integration projects. Frame your resume around project delivery outcomes and systems experience rather than general electrical theory.
Target GFT's active project pipeline directly
GFT consistently posts Electrical Project Engineer openings tied to active client engagements in the Technology and Software sector. Apply when postings reference specific project phases, since those roles are more likely to move quickly to offer.
Clarify H-1B sponsorship intent early in interviews
Raise your visa sponsorship need before the offer stage, not after. Ask the hiring manager directly whether the role is approved for H-1B filing, so you don't invest weeks in a process the team hasn't budgeted to sponsor.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation thoroughly
USCIS requires evidence that your Electrical Project Engineer role meets specialty occupation standards. Gather degree transcripts, professional licenses, and any PE certification ahead of time so your employer's immigration counsel can file without delays.
Understand the H-1B cap timeline before accepting an offer
If you're not currently in H-1B status, the annual cap registration window opens in March for an October 1 start date. Build that lag into your negotiation if GFT extends an offer outside a cap-exempt context.
Browse GFT's open roles through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Electrical Project Engineer listings at GFT by visa sponsorship type. It surfaces roles where H-1B sponsorship is confirmed, saving you from applying to positions that won't move your immigration status forward.

Find Electrical Project Engineer at GFT JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does GFT sponsor H-1B visas for Electrical Project Engineers?
Yes, GFT has sponsored H-1B visas for Electrical Project Engineer roles. The company operates in the Technology and Software sector, where specialized engineering talent is in consistent demand. If you're targeting a role here, confirm sponsorship eligibility directly with the recruiter early in the process, since not every open position is pre-approved for H-1B filing.
How do I apply for Electrical Project Engineer jobs at GFT?
You can find and apply for Electrical Project Engineer roles at GFT through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm H-1B eligibility before applying. Tailor your application to highlight project delivery experience and any systems integration work relevant to GFT's client engagements in the Technology and Software space.
Which visa types are commonly used for Electrical Project Engineer roles at GFT?
The H-1B is the primary work visa used for Electrical Project Engineer roles at GFT. This category requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, which typically means a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a closely related field is a requirement for the position, not just a preference.
What qualifications does GFT expect for Electrical Project Engineer candidates?
GFT's Electrical Project Engineer roles generally require a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and demonstrated experience managing projects through full delivery cycles. Familiarity with low-voltage systems, power distribution, or technology infrastructure is commonly referenced in postings. A Professional Engineer license strengthens both your candidacy and the specialty occupation case USCIS evaluates during H-1B review.
How do I time my H-1B sponsorship process when targeting GFT?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, USCIS registration opens each March for an October 1 start. That means accepting an offer in early spring gives you the tightest path to authorization. Cap-exempt candidates, such as those transferring from a qualifying institution or an existing H-1B, can start sooner. Confirm your status category with GFT's immigration counsel before finalizing your start date.
