Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Engineering Project Manager Jobs at GFT Jobs
Frame your PM credentials for financial tech
GFT serves banks and insurers, so certifications like PMP or SAFe carry more weight when paired with examples of delivering software projects in regulated environments. Highlight compliance-adjacent work, not just delivery metrics.
Target GFT's delivery-focused engineering openings
GFT's Engineering Project Manager roles cluster around client delivery and nearshore team coordination. Filter your search for positions tied to software implementation or agile delivery, since those are the openings where H-1B sponsorship has historically come through.
Confirm sponsorship intent before the final interview round
GFT operates as a services firm, so sponsorship decisions can involve client headcount constraints, not just internal budget. Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific role is open to H-1B sponsorship before investing time in late-stage rounds.
Understand your H-1B cap timeline before accepting
If you're not already in H-1B status, USCIS runs one lottery per year with an October 1 start date. Align your GFT offer timeline so your start date lands after cap-subject approval, and budget for the full adjudication window.
Use Migrate Mate to surface GFT's open roles
GFT's sponsoring roles aren't always labeled clearly on general job boards. Search Migrate Mate to find Engineering Project Manager positions at GFT filtered specifically for visa sponsorship, so you're not applying blind to roles that won't support an H-1B.
Prepare your LCA documentation with the DOL in mind
GFT must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition can go to USCIS. Provide your hiring manager with accurate worksite details early, since LCA location errors are a common cause of delays in technology services firms with distributed project teams.

Find Engineering Project Manager at GFT JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does GFT sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Project Managers?
Yes, GFT has sponsored H-1B visas for Engineering Project Manager roles. As a technology services firm working with financial services clients, GFT operates in a sector where H-1B sponsorship is common for specialized engineering and project delivery talent. Sponsorship availability can vary by role and client engagement, so confirming directly with the recruiter for each specific opening is the most reliable approach.
Which visa types are commonly used for Engineering Project Manager roles at GFT?
The H-1B is the primary visa type used for Engineering Project Manager positions at GFT. This role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS definitions given the degree requirements in engineering, computer science, or a related field. If you're currently on OPT or STEM OPT, you can begin work before the H-1B lottery and maintain status through the cap-gap period if selected.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Engineering Project Manager roles at GFT?
GFT's Engineering Project Manager roles generally require a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or information systems, along with hands-on experience managing software delivery in agile or hybrid environments. Experience in financial services or insurance technology is a strong differentiator. Project management certifications such as PMP or SAFe are frequently listed in GFT postings and reinforce the specialty occupation case for H-1B purposes.
How do I apply for Engineering Project Manager jobs at GFT?
Browse current Engineering Project Manager openings at GFT on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles filtered for visa sponsorship eligibility so you can focus your effort on positions that are actually open to H-1B candidates. When you apply, tailor your resume to highlight software project delivery experience relevant to GFT's financial services client base. Follow up with the recruiter early to confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role before progressing through multiple interview rounds.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take if GFT extends an offer?
Once GFT extends an offer, the process starts with a DOL Labor Condition Application, which typically takes around seven business days. The H-1B petition then goes to USCIS, where standard processing runs several months. Premium processing, available for an additional USCIS fee, reduces adjudication to around 15 business days. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, factor in that the lottery runs once per year with petitions filed in April for an October 1 start date.
