Frame your credentials around GFT's delivery model
GFT operates across financial services technology and cloud transformation. Tailor your resume to reflect program management experience in regulated tech environments, emphasizing delivery frameworks like SAFe or PMI methodologies that align with enterprise software clients.
Target GFT's financial technology and banking verticals
GFT's Engineering Program Manager openings concentrate in financial technology delivery for banking and insurance clients. Prioritize roles aligned to those sectors in your applications, since domain familiarity with financial systems accelerates the internal hiring decision and supports a stronger I-129 petition.
Negotiate your start date around H-1B cap timelines
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS only accepts cap-subject petitions starting April 1 for an October 1 start. Align your offer negotiation with GFT's HR team to build in this gap, using premium processing if your current status expires before October.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active openings by role
GFT's Engineering Program Manager listings move quickly across multiple locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa sponsorship availability so you're applying to positions with active sponsorship intent rather than cold-outreaching on closed requisitions.
Prepare a specialty occupation narrative for your petition
USCIS scrutinizes Engineering Program Manager petitions because the title spans a wide skill range. Work with your immigration attorney to document that your role requires a specific bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, not general management credentials.

Find Engineering Program Manager at GFT JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does GFT sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Program Managers?
Yes, GFT sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Program Manager roles. The company operates in technology and software services for financial institutions, a sector that regularly requires specialized technical program management talent. If you're in cap-subject status, GFT would file your H-1B petition with USCIS, covering the Labor Condition Application through the DOL and the I-129 petition on your behalf.
How do I apply for Engineering Program Manager jobs at GFT?
Apply directly through GFT's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to browse and filter their open Engineering Program Manager roles by sponsorship availability. Before applying, align your application to GFT's core delivery areas in banking and financial technology. During the process, be transparent about your visa status early so the hiring team can confirm sponsorship eligibility before extending an offer.
Which visa types are commonly used for Engineering Program Manager roles at GFT?
H-1B is the primary visa pathway for Engineering Program Manager roles at GFT. This classification applies because the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant technical degree. If you hold TN eligibility as a Canadian or Mexican national, that may be an alternative path. Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories is possible after an extended tenure, typically following PERM labor certification.
What qualifications and experience does GFT expect for Engineering Program Manager candidates?
GFT typically looks for a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or information systems, since this directly supports the specialty occupation requirement in an H-1B petition. Beyond the degree, practical experience managing cross-functional software delivery programs in financial services or regulated industries strengthens your application considerably. Familiarity with agile frameworks and cloud platform delivery is a consistent expectation across their open roles.
How do I time my H-1B sponsorship process when accepting an offer from GFT?
If you require a cap-subject H-1B, GFT must register you during the annual lottery window in March, with USCIS accepting petitions from April 1 for an October 1 start date. If you're currently on OPT, your 60-day grace period and STEM extension eligibility directly affect how much runway you have. Discuss your status expiration date with GFT's HR or immigration counsel as early as the offer stage to align your start date with USCIS processing timelines.
