- Personally confirm quality of terminations (torqueing, labeling, routing, and code compliance).
- Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, and project specifications.
- Identify and correct deficiencies in workmanship before system energization.
- Serve as the on-site authority for electrical best practices and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to resolve field issues.
- Ensuring RFI procedures are followed and as-built drawings are accurately completed.
- Maintain documentation of inspections, punch lists, and quality checks.
- Enforce safety standards and proper lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ensuring proper handoff documentation is prepared and available for the commissioning team.
Requirements
- Active Master Electrician license (or equivalent state certification).
- 8–15+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
- Deep knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and critical power infrastructure.
- Experience overseeing electrical construction projects from design through commissioning, including managing contractors and vendors.
- Deep knowledge of NEC, NETA and applicable local codes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Bonus points
- Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center environments at 10+ MW capacity.
- Experience in high-reliability environments (data centers, energy, industrial, oil & gas, etc.).
- Background in QA/QC or commissioning.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Benefits
- Subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Equity (options) in a rapidly growing startup.
- 401(k) with 4% employer match.

Who We Hire
We don't use "A-player" loosely. Here's what it actually means at Giga:
Antifragile. You don't just survive chaos, you get better because of it. When things break, change, or move sideways, you don't freeze. You adapt faster than the problem evolves.
High Agency. You don't wait to be told what to do. You see the gap, you fill it. If something is blocking progress, you find a way around it, over it, or through it without asking for permission.
Executors. Ideas are cheap. We hire people who ship. You're the person who turns a whiteboard sketch into something real while everyone else is still scheduling the next meeting about it.
Bias to Action. Perfect is the enemy of done. You'd rather make a decision with 80% of the information and course correct than sit around waiting for 100% that never comes.
Speed. We move fast because the opportunity demands it. You're not reckless, but you understand that in this industry, the team that moves fastest wins. And you like winning.

Target technical and engineering roles first
Giga Energy's manufacturing operations rely heavily on specialized technical talent. Focus your applications on roles requiring specific engineering or industrial expertise, as these are the positions most likely to qualify for H-1B or TN visa sponsorship at a manufacturing employer.
Confirm OPT and CPT eligibility early
Giga Energy supports F-1 students on OPT and CPT, which is valuable if you're still completing a degree or recent graduation. Reach out to their recruiting team early to confirm which roles accept OPT authorization before investing heavily in the application process.
Align your degree field with the job description
Manufacturing visa sponsorships typically require a direct connection between your degree and the role. Before applying to Giga Energy, make sure your educational background clearly maps to the specific technical function you're targeting, this strengthens any H-1B specialty occupation case.
Explore verified sponsorship opportunities on Migrate Mate
When targeting manufacturing companies like Giga Energy, verified sponsorship history matters. Migrate Mate surfaces confirmed sponsors so you can filter by visa type and industry, saving time you'd otherwise spend guessing whether a company will actually support your application.
Mention sponsorship readiness in your cover letter
Manufacturing employers often assess sponsorship logistics early in hiring. Be upfront about your visa status and timeline in your application materials, Giga Energy's willingness to sponsor suggests they're familiar with the process, so clarity signals professionalism rather than creating hesitation.
Research Giga Energy's growth trajectory before interviewing
Companies expanding their manufacturing capacity tend to hire more sponsored workers as they scale operations. Understanding Giga Energy's current projects and business direction helps you position yourself as a long-term investment, which strengthens the case for sponsorship during salary and offer negotiations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Giga Energy sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Giga Energy sponsors H-1B visas. The company has filed H-1B petitions for qualifying roles in its manufacturing operations, making it a legitimate target for international candidates who need employer-sponsored work authorization. Roles tied to engineering, technical operations, or specialized manufacturing functions are the most likely pathways to H-1B sponsorship at Giga Energy.
What visa types does Giga Energy sponsor?
Giga Energy sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation workers and supports F-1 students through both OPT and CPT programs. The company also sponsors TN visas, which are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals working in qualifying professional roles. This range of supported visa types makes Giga Energy accessible to candidates at different stages of their U.S. work authorization journey.
Which roles at Giga Energy are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Given Giga Energy's position in the manufacturing sector, sponsorship is most commonly associated with technical and engineering roles that require specialized knowledge. Positions in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing operations, and process or systems design tend to meet the specialty occupation threshold required for H-1B eligibility. General or administrative roles are less likely to qualify for sponsorship.
How do I find open sponsored jobs at Giga Energy?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find visa-sponsored openings at Giga Energy. The platform verifies sponsorship history so you're only seeing companies with a real track record of supporting international candidates, not just those that claim they might. You can filter by visa type and industry to surface relevant Giga Energy roles alongside other confirmed manufacturing sponsors.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting Giga Energy for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship requires careful timing because USCIS only accepts new cap-subject petitions once per year, with a registration window typically in March and an October 1 start date. If you're targeting Giga Energy, aim to secure an offer several months before the registration window opens. Starting the conversation early gives the company's HR and legal teams time to prepare the necessary Labor Condition Application and petition paperwork.
