Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Data Management Analyst Jobs at Google Jobs
Align your credentials to Google's data stack
Google's Data Management Analyst roles consistently require proficiency in BigQuery, SQL, and Looker. Document hands-on experience with these tools explicitly in your resume so recruiters and USCIS reviewers see a clear match between your background and the specialty occupation definition.
Target Google's recruiting cycles strategically
Google runs structured hiring cycles that align with H-1B cap season. Applying in October through January puts you on a timeline where an offer can translate into an April H-1B filing, avoiding a full extra year of waiting if you miss the lottery window.
Understand which visa Google will file for you
Australian citizens should confirm with the recruiter whether Google will file an E-3 instead of H-1B, since E-3 has no lottery and can be filed year-round. This distinction matters enormously for your timeline and should be clarified before you accept an offer.
Verify Google's LCA wage levels before negotiating
Google files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL before submitting H-1B petitions, locking in a prevailing wage tier. Reviewing public LCA disclosure data for your job title and work location lets you negotiate compensation that meets or exceeds that certified wage level.
Build a data governance portfolio before interviewing
Google's data management interviews frequently test knowledge of metadata standards, data quality frameworks, and access controls. A documented portfolio showing you've designed or maintained data governance policies strengthens both your interview performance and your employer's specialty occupation case to USCIS.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles efficiently
Filtering for Data Management Analyst positions at companies actively sponsoring H-1B or E-3 visas saves weeks of manual research. Migrate Mate surfaces these roles directly, so you spend time preparing applications rather than guessing which employers have an active sponsorship track record.

Find Data Management Analyst at Google JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Data Management Analysts?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Data Management Analyst roles. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria given the degree-level technical requirements in data engineering, analytics, or a related field. Google has dedicated immigration counsel that manages the H-1B petition process, including the annual cap lottery filing in April and premium processing when timelines require it.
Which visa types does Google sponsor for Data Management Analyst roles?
Google sponsors H-1B visas for most international candidates in this role. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no annual lottery and can be initiated year-round, making it a faster path. Candidates already holding L-1 status through an internal transfer, or O-1 status for those with demonstrated expertise, may also be supported depending on individual circumstances.
What qualifications does Google expect for Data Management Analyst roles?
Google typically expects a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, statistics, or a closely related field. Practical experience with SQL, BigQuery, data pipeline tools, and data governance frameworks is heavily weighted. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must align directly with the role's technical requirements, which USCIS uses to evaluate the specialty occupation standard.
How do I apply for Data Management Analyst jobs at Google?
Applications go through Google's careers portal, where roles are listed by team and location. The process typically includes a recruiter screen, technical assessments covering SQL and data modeling, and structured panel interviews. Migrate Mate lists open Data Management Analyst positions at Google that have an active sponsorship track record, helping you identify and apply to relevant roles without manually sifting through job boards.
How do I plan my timeline around Google's H-1B sponsorship process?
H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so receiving an offer from Google by late February gives enough runway for registration and preparation. If you're on OPT, your 60-day grace period begins when employment ends, not when it's approved, so securing an offer with sufficient lead time before your OPT expires is critical. USCIS premium processing can reduce adjudication to roughly 15 business days if your start date is urgent.
