Target engineering and technical roles

Understand how the H-1B process works before applying
Great Dane sponsors H-1B visas, so knowing the annual lottery timeline and specialty occupation requirements puts you ahead. Employers in the automotive manufacturing space expect candidates who can speak to their own visa situation without hand-holding.
Leverage F-1 OPT and CPT as an entry point
Great Dane accepts F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, making it accessible while you're still studying or in your post-graduation work period. Starting in a student work authorization role is a realistic path toward long-term H-1B sponsorship with the company.
Research TN eligibility if you're Canadian or Mexican
Great Dane sponsors TN visas, which is a strong signal for Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying occupations like engineering. The TN process is faster and simpler than H-1B, so highlight your citizenship upfront when applying to relevant roles.
Align your background with automotive manufacturing needs
Great Dane operates in a specialized segment of the automotive industry focused on commercial trailers and freight. Candidates with experience in structural engineering, materials, supply chain, or logistics technology are well positioned for roles the company is most likely to sponsor.
