Job Roles at Aflac
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Aflac Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles that align with Aflac's core specializations
Aflac's Green Card sponsorships tend to cluster in actuarial science, data analytics, software engineering, and compliance. Focusing your application on these functions gives you the strongest chance of landing a role with Green Card support built into the offer.
Raise the Green Card conversation early in the offer stage
Aflac's HR and legal teams handle immigration approvals, so it's worth confirming sponsorship intent before accepting an offer. Asking during negotiations, not after signing, saves time and avoids surprises once you're already onboarded and waiting on approvals.
Understand the PERM labor certification stage
Most Aflac Green Card cases go through PERM, which requires the company to document that no qualified U.S. workers were available for your role. This process takes time and requires your job duties to be accurately defined from day one of employment.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Aflac openings with sponsorship history
Not every Aflac job listing mentions Green Card sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving you from applying to roles where immigration support was never on the table.
Align your insurance or financial services credentials with Aflac's hiring needs
Aflac is more likely to sponsor Green Cards for candidates whose backgrounds are difficult to replicate domestically. Professional designations like FSA, FCAS, or CFA, or niche technical expertise, strengthen the business case your employer needs to make during PERM.
Ask specifically about EB-2 versus EB-3 routing before the process starts
Aflac may file under EB-2 or EB-3 depending on the role's requirements. EB-2 generally applies to positions requiring advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers skilled workers. Knowing which category applies to your role affects your estimated wait time significantly.

Does Aflac sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Aflac sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees in qualifying roles. Sponsorship is not offered across every position, and the company typically reserves it for specialized or hard-to-fill roles in areas like actuarial science, technology, and data. Candidates should confirm sponsorship intent directly with Aflac's HR or talent acquisition team during the hiring process.
Which departments or roles at Aflac are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Aflac is most commonly associated with technically specialized roles where domestic talent is limited. This includes actuarial positions, software and data engineering, financial analysis, and compliance functions. Corporate and operational roles with broadly available candidates are less likely to qualify for employer-sponsored Green Card filings under PERM.
How does the Green Card application process work at Aflac?
Aflac typically initiates the Green Card process through PERM labor certification, where the company must demonstrate to the Department of Labor that no qualified U.S. workers were available for the role. After PERM is approved, Aflac files an immigrant petition with USCIS. Once a visa number becomes available, you file for adjustment of status or go through consular processing.
How long does the Green Card process take when sponsored by Aflac?
The timeline depends heavily on your priority date, country of birth, and visa category. PERM alone can take a year or more, and USCIS petition processing adds additional time. For applicants born in India or China, visa backlogs can extend the total wait by years. Applicants born in other countries may move through the process considerably faster.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at Aflac?
Job listings rarely advertise Green Card sponsorship explicitly, which makes filtering for genuine sponsors difficult. Migrate Mate lists Aflac openings alongside verified sponsorship history, so you can identify roles where the company has a real track record of supporting immigration. Pair that with outreach to Aflac recruiters to confirm current sponsorship availability for specific positions.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Aflac?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
