Match your credentials to PERM requirements early
CHA's consulting roles often require specific degree fields and years of experience that become locked into your PERM application. Gather transcripts, credential evaluations, and employment verification letters before your employer starts the labor certification process with DOL.
Understand which EB category fits your role
Engineers and project managers at CHA typically qualify under EB-2 or EB-3, depending on degree level and job requirements. If your role requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, EB-2 may apply. EB-3 covers most bachelor's-level professional positions. USCIS defines the thresholds for each.
Track CHA's PERM filings by job title
Before accepting an offer, verify that CHA has filed PERM applications for roles similar to yours. Search DOL's OFLC Wage Search by employer name and occupation to see which job titles have gone through labor certification and what prevailing wage levels were certified.
Use Migrate Mate to identify CHA's sponsorship history
Migrate Mate surfaces CHA Consulting's verified Green Card and LCA filing history by role and location, so you can confirm sponsorship before negotiating your offer. Filter by occupation code to see which engineering and consulting specialties CHA has historically sponsored for permanent residency.
Negotiate Green Card sponsorship terms in your offer
Consulting firms sometimes distinguish between initiating PERM and covering legal fees. Ask explicitly whether CHA will file at a set tenure milestone, who pays attorney costs, and whether sponsorship continues if your project assignment changes. Get these terms documented before you sign.
Align your O*NET occupation code with your actual duties
CHA consults across infrastructure, water, energy, and environmental sectors. Your PERM job description must match your genuine daily duties and the O*NET occupation profile for your role. Misalignment between your title and documented functions is a leading cause of PERM audits.
CHA Consulting, Inc. Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does CHA Consulting, Inc. sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, CHA Consulting, Inc. sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. The process typically runs through PERM labor certification filed with DOL, followed by an immigrant visa petition with USCIS. Sponsorship is generally available for engineering, environmental, and technical consulting roles after candidates meet tenure and performance thresholds.
Which roles at CHA Consulting are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at CHA Consulting tends to concentrate in technical and project-based roles across infrastructure, water resources, energy, and environmental services. Civil engineers, structural engineers, project managers, and environmental scientists in these practice areas are among the positions CHA has historically moved through the PERM process.
How do I start the Green Card process at CHA Consulting?
The process begins when CHA's HR or immigration counsel initiates a PERM labor certification with DOL on your behalf. You'll need to provide degree transcripts, employment history documentation, and credential evaluations. USCIS then adjudicates the I-140 immigrant petition once PERM is certified. Most employees start this conversation after reaching a defined tenure milestone.
How long does the Green Card process take at a consulting firm like CHA?
Total timelines depend on your EB category and country of birth. PERM labor certification typically takes six to eighteen months with DOL. After PERM certification, USCIS adjudicates the I-140 petition, which adds several more months. Applicants born in countries with visa backlogs, such as India or China, may face significantly longer waits before a visa number becomes available.
How do I find open Green Card jobs at CHA Consulting?
Migrate Mate lists active roles at employers with verified Green Card sponsorship history, including CHA Consulting. You can filter by occupation, location, and visa type to surface positions aligned with your engineering or consulting background. Applying through channels that confirm sponsorship upfront saves time compared to discovering eligibility limitations late in the hiring process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at CHA Consulting, Inc.?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
