Job Roles at Dana
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Dana Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and technical roles
Dana's Green Card sponsorships are concentrated in engineering disciplines closely tied to its drivetrain and sealing technologies. Roles in mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering are your strongest entry points for a sponsored Green Card pathway.
Understand EB-2 versus EB-3 eligibility before you apply
Dana files both EB-2 and EB-3 petitions depending on the role's degree requirements and complexity. Knowing which category fits your background before your interview positions you to have a more focused conversation with the hiring team about sponsorship expectations.
Ask about Green Card timelines during the offer stage
Automotive employers like Dana typically begin PERM labor certification after a period of employment. Clarifying when the process starts and which legal firm manages filings helps you plan your long-term status and avoid surprises after onboarding.
Highlight specialized automotive expertise in your application
Dana seeks candidates with domain knowledge in areas like electrification, thermal management, and driveline systems. Demonstrating niche expertise strengthens your case for Green Card sponsorship, since specialized roles are harder to fill domestically and support the PERM labor certification process.
Use verified sponsorship data to find the right openings
Not every Dana job listing will mention Green Card sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on roles where Dana has an established track record of filing.
Secure your nonimmigrant status while you wait
Green Card processing at large automotive manufacturers can span multiple years. Ensuring your H-1B or TN status remains valid and renewable throughout the PERM and I-140 stages protects your authorization to keep working at Dana while your petition progresses.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Dana sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Dana sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. The company files both EB-2 and EB-3 petitions, primarily for roles in engineering and technical operations. Sponsorship is typically initiated after a period of employment and is tied to specific positions rather than being offered universally across all job categories.
Which roles and departments at Dana are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Engineering functions are the most common recipients of Green Card sponsorship at Dana, particularly in areas like product development, manufacturing engineering, and advanced technology tied to electrification and driveline systems. Corporate functions such as IT and finance occasionally receive sponsorship as well, though engineering roles represent the core of Dana's filings.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Dana?
Dana typically manages the process through an external immigration law firm. The standard sequence begins with PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Once your priority date is current, you can file for adjustment of status if you're already in the U.S. Your HR or immigration contact at Dana coordinates each stage.
How long does the Green Card process take when sponsored by Dana?
Timelines vary significantly depending on your country of birth and the visa category. EB-2 and EB-3 applicants born in countries without heavy backlog demand may reach approval within a few years. Applicants born in India or China face considerably longer waits due to per-country limits. Maintaining valid work authorization throughout is essential while your petition is pending.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Dana that are open to sponsored candidates?
Job listings do not always disclose Green Card sponsorship availability upfront, which makes it difficult to know where to focus. Migrate Mate lets you search Dana's open roles filtered by verified sponsorship history, so you can identify positions where the company has a real track record of supporting Green Card filings rather than relying on the job description alone.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Dana?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
