Target clinical roles with credential documentation
Destination Pet sponsors Green Cards primarily for animal care and veterinary positions. Before applying, gather your professional licenses, certification records, and any continuing education credentials. USCIS scrutinizes credential currency in regulated pet health roles, so outdated documentation can stall a PERM filing before it starts.
Understand which EB pathway fits your background
Destination Pet files under EB-2 and EB-3, and the right category depends on your education and role level. EB-3 covers skilled workers and is more common for technician and care positions. EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, which applies to senior veterinary or management roles.
Ask about PERM during the offer stage
Destination Pet's Green Card process begins with PERM labor certification through DOL, which requires the employer to document that no qualified U.S. workers were available for your role. Raise this during offer negotiations, not after you start, so the recruitment evidence period aligns with your actual hiring timeline.
Research prevailing wage before salary discussions
PERM filings require Destination Pet to pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your occupation and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up wage levels for veterinary technician or animal care roles in your specific metro area before your compensation conversation, so you can confirm the offer will clear the threshold.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Destination Pet's filing history
Before committing to a role, pull Destination Pet's Labor Condition Application and PERM filing history through Migrate Mate. You can see which job titles the company has filed for, which locations have active sponsorship, and whether the company has a track record of completing the process for roles like yours.
Prepare for the priority date wait before accepting
EB-3 and EB-2 Green Cards for most nationalities involve a wait after PERM and I-140 approval while a visa number becomes available. Check the current Visa Bulletin through USCIS to understand how long that wait might be for your country of birth before you factor Green Card timing into your career plans.
Destination Pet, LLC Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Destination Pet, LLC sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Destination Pet, LLC does sponsor Green Card visas. The company files under the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based preference categories for qualifying roles in animal care and veterinary services. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every position, so you'll want to confirm Green Card support explicitly with the hiring team during the offer stage.
Which roles at Destination Pet, LLC typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Destination Pet tends to be concentrated in clinical and hands-on roles such as veterinary technicians, animal care specialists, and related pet health positions. Senior or specialized roles with advanced degree requirements may qualify under EB-2, while most technician-level positions fall under the EB-3 skilled worker category.
How do I apply for a Green Card through Destination Pet, LLC?
The process starts with PERM labor certification filed by Destination Pet with DOL, which documents that no qualified U.S. workers were available for your role. After PERM is certified, the company files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Once that's approved and a visa number is available, you file for adjustment of status or go through consular processing.
How long does the Green Card process take at Destination Pet, LLC?
PERM labor certification alone typically takes six to twelve months with DOL. After PERM approval, USCIS adjudication of the I-140 adds additional time. For applicants from countries with visa backlog, the wait for a priority date to become current can extend the overall timeline significantly. Check the monthly Visa Bulletin through USCIS for your specific situation.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Destination Pet, LLC?
Migrate Mate lists open positions at Destination Pet, LLC and shows the company's Green Card and employment-based immigration filing history by role and location. Filtering for EB-2 and EB-3 sponsored positions lets you identify which specific job titles at Destination Pet have active sponsorship, so you can target your application toward roles most likely to include Green Card support.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Destination Pet, LLC?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
