Job Roles at Gordon Food Service
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Gordon Food Service Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles with long-term operational need
Gordon Food Service tends to sponsor Green Cards for roles tied to core distribution and supply chain functions. Positions in logistics management, warehouse operations, and procurement are strong candidates because the company depends on stable, long-term staffing in these areas.
Build tenure before expecting sponsorship
Green Card sponsorship at large distribution companies like Gordon Food Service typically follows a period of demonstrated performance on a work visa. Establishing yourself as a reliable contributor before raising sponsorship gives your request far stronger internal support.
Understand which visa pathway applies to your role
Gordon Food Service sponsors through both EB-2 and EB-3 categories. Professional and managerial roles more commonly qualify for EB-2, while skilled trade and operational positions typically fall under EB-3. Knowing which applies to you helps you frame the conversation with HR.
Get the conversation started early in the hiring process
Raising Green Card sponsorship during final-stage interviews or after an offer is more effective than waiting until you are already onboarded. Asking early signals long-term commitment and gives the employer time to align with legal and HR teams on the process.
Use verified sponsorship data to identify open roles
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you find Gordon Food Service roles where Green Card sponsorship is a realistic outcome rather than a maybe. Focus your applications where the track record is clear.
Engage with the company's immigration counsel when possible
Companies like Gordon Food Service that actively sponsor Green Cards typically work with dedicated immigration attorneys. If you get the opportunity to connect with their legal team during onboarding or HR discussions, understanding their preferred process early saves time and avoids miscommunication later.

Does Gordon Food Service sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Gordon Food Service sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. The company files through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, primarily for professional, managerial, and skilled operational roles across its distribution network. Sponsorship is generally available to employees who have demonstrated performance in a qualifying role and whose position meets the relevant Department of Labor criteria.
Which roles and departments at Gordon Food Service typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Gordon Food Service is most common in roles tied to its core distribution and wholesale operations, including supply chain management, logistics coordination, warehouse leadership, and professional corporate functions such as finance, IT, and operations. Roles that require specialized education or are difficult to fill domestically tend to receive priority in the sponsorship queue.
How do I start the Green Card application process at Gordon Food Service?
The process begins with your employer initiating a PERM Labor Certification through the Department of Labor, which verifies that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role. Gordon Food Service's HR and immigration legal team manage this process. Your responsibility is to provide documentation of your qualifications and ensure your job duties align with the role described in the PERM application.
How long does the Green Card process typically take at Gordon Food Service?
The full Green Card process from PERM filing through final approval commonly takes several years, depending on your country of birth and the visa category. EB-2 and EB-3 applicants born in high-demand countries like India may face extended priority date backlogs. Planning ahead and initiating the process as early as possible in your employment significantly reduces how long you wait for a final outcome.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Gordon Food Service that are open to sponsorship?
Searching directly on Gordon Food Service's careers page is a starting point, but job listings rarely specify Green Card sponsorship eligibility. Migrate Mate helps by surfacing roles at verified Green Card sponsors, letting you identify openings at Gordon Food Service where sponsorship is a realistic expectation based on the company's actual filing history rather than guesswork.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Gordon Food Service?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
