Job Roles at Humana
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Humana Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target roles with a clear degree-to-job match
Humana's Green Card sponsorships tend to concentrate in roles requiring specialized qualifications, such as data science, software engineering, and clinical analytics. A strong degree-to-role alignment strengthens your PERM labor certification case from the start.
Ask about sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Humana's HR and talent acquisition teams are experienced with Green Card processes. Raise sponsorship intent during offer negotiations, not after onboarding, to confirm the role is eligible and that internal legal resources are already allocated.
Understand that PERM comes first
Most Humana Green Card cases follow the PERM labor certification route before the I-140 petition. This means your employer must conduct a compliant recruitment process first, which adds time before the formal petition stage even begins.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Green Card-sponsoring roles
Not every open Humana role qualifies for Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you target positions where Humana has actually followed through on Green Card filings.
Build tenure before expecting sponsorship to begin
Large conglomerates like Humana typically initiate Green Card sponsorship after an employee has demonstrated performance over time. Positioning yourself as a long-term contributor in your department makes it easier to have that conversation with your manager.
Know which category your role falls under
Humana files Green Card petitions under both EB-2 and EB-3 categories depending on the role's requirements. Technical and advanced-degree roles often qualify for EB-2, while EB-3 covers a broader range of professional positions across clinical and corporate teams.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Humana sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Humana sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. As a large employer across healthcare technology, data, clinical operations, and corporate functions, Humana has an established record of supporting staff through PERM labor certification and I-140 petitions. Sponsorship is typically tied to specialized roles where the company has a demonstrated need that cannot be easily filled domestically.
Which roles and departments at Humana are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Humana is most common in roles requiring specialized expertise, including software engineering, data science, clinical informatics, actuarial analysis, and healthcare technology. Corporate functions such as finance and compliance can also qualify, particularly when the role demands advanced degrees or highly specific skill sets that support the PERM labor certification standard.
How do I navigate the Green Card application process at Humana?
Humana handles Green Card filings through its internal legal and HR teams, typically working with outside immigration counsel. The process begins with PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Your role is to respond promptly to document requests, keep your employment records current, and stay in close communication with the assigned immigration attorney.
How long does the Green Card process take when sponsored by Humana?
The overall timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and the EB category your role qualifies under. PERM labor certification alone can take several months, and if you were born in a country with a visa backlog, such as India or China, the wait for an immigrant visa number can extend significantly. Starting early and maintaining continuous employment at Humana throughout the process is essential.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Humana that include sponsorship?
Not every Humana job posting explicitly states Green Card sponsorship eligibility, which makes it difficult to identify the right roles from job boards alone. Migrate Mate aggregates verified sponsorship data so you can search Humana openings specifically filtered by Green Card sponsorship history, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship is unlikely to be approved.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Humana?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
