What You’ll Do
- Supervise daily testing operations while actively supporting on-site test execution and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with Kodiak’s SOPs, safety policies, and project priorities.
- Collaborate with other supervisors in order to execute tests with a shared pool of Test Specialists, Safety Drivers, and Assisted Autonomy Operators to maintain consistent throughput and fleet utilization.
- Act as the on-shift decision-maker for operational issues, escalating critical matters as appropriate.
- Track and report shift-level performance metrics such as throughput, test completion rate, and issue resolution.
- Review team documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper escalation and communication standards.
- Identify process gaps or performance trends and implement corrective actions in partnership with management and engineering teams.
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions, ride-alongs, and evaluations to support skill development and operational consistency.
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all testing teams.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and CDL/HOS compliance requirements where applicable.
- Partner with other Supervisors, Leads, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless shift handoffs, shared situational awareness, and aligned priorities.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
- 3+ years in AV testing, fleet operations, or related automotive environments.
- Demonstrated success in a working-lead or supervisory role within a fast-paced, safety-critical setting.
Background:
- Strong understanding of AV systems, testing workflows, and operational safety practices.
- Proven ability to manage shift-based teams while maintaining high productivity and morale.
Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with autonomous systems, fleet management, and test execution processes.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks and operational risk management principles.
Strong Communicator:
- Skilled at maintaining calm, structured communication under pressure.
- Able to convey complex operational details clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Leadership Mindset:
- Leads with accountability and composure, balancing team oversight with hands-on involvement.
- Drives continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and process discipline across the test organization.

Target robotics and autonomy engineering roles
Kodiak's Green Card filings concentrate in technical disciplines tied to its core autonomous trucking work. Roles in perception, machine learning, and systems integration have the strongest sponsorship precedent. Focus your application on teams where your specialization directly advances the vehicle stack.
Distinguish your EB pathway before applying
EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability; EB-3 covers professionals with a bachelor's degree. At a research-focused robotics company, a master's or PhD in a relevant field often positions you for EB-2, which bypasses some PERM labor certification complexity. Know which category fits your credentials before your first interview.
Prepare your PERM documentation early
Most EB-2 and EB-3 filings at employers like Kodiak go through PERM, a DOL labor certification process that requires documenting the employer's recruitment efforts. Gather your degree certificates, transcripts, and foreign credential evaluations before your offer stage so you're ready when the employer's immigration counsel starts the file.
Benchmark your salary against OFLC prevailing wages
PERM filings require Kodiak to pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Before negotiating your offer, run your job title and zip code through the OFLC Wage Search to confirm your offered salary meets or exceeds the applicable wage level. A shortfall can delay or invalidate the filing.
Use Migrate Mate to identify Kodiak's LCA filing history
Kodiak's Labor Condition Application records show which job titles and wage levels it has filed for, giving you a clearer picture of active sponsorship patterns. Use Migrate Mate to surface that DOL disclosure data by employer and role before you apply, so your targeting is grounded in verified filing activity.
Clarify sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Green Card sponsorship is employer-initiated, not guaranteed at offer. During negotiations, ask directly whether the role includes a Green Card sponsorship commitment and confirm which pathway the company's immigration counsel anticipates. Getting this in writing as part of your offer letter removes ambiguity once the PERM process begins.
Kodiak Robotics, Inc. Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Kodiak Robotics, Inc. sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Kodiak Robotics sponsors Green Cards for qualifying employees, primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. Sponsorship is most common in technical and engineering roles central to its autonomous trucking platform. Green Card support is typically offered to employees already working at Kodiak on a nonimmigrant visa such as H-1B visa.
Which roles at Kodiak Robotics are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Engineering and research positions tied to Kodiak's core autonomy stack carry the strongest sponsorship precedent. Roles in software engineering, perception, machine learning, sensor integration, and systems engineering are the most commonly supported. Operations or administrative roles are less frequently sponsored, reflecting the company's research-intensive hiring profile.
How does the Green Card application process work at Kodiak Robotics?
Most Green Card filings at Kodiak go through PERM labor certification with the DOL, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition filed with USCIS. For EB-2 National Interest Waiver cases, the employee can self-petition without PERM. Once the I-140 is approved and a visa number is available, you file for adjustment of status or consular processing to receive permanent residence.
How long does the Green Card process take when sponsored by Kodiak Robotics?
Timeline depends heavily on your country of birth and the EB category. PERM labor certification alone can take six to eighteen months. After I-140 approval, applicants born in countries with backlogged priority dates, such as India or China, may wait years for a visa number. USCIS publishes a monthly Visa Bulletin that tracks current priority dates by category and country.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Kodiak Robotics using Migrate Mate?
Migrate Mate surfaces employer-specific DOL Labor Condition Application data, showing which job titles Kodiak has actively filed for and at what wage levels. You can use that filing history to identify roles with the strongest sponsorship precedent before applying. From there, you can apply directly through Kodiak's careers page with confidence that the role has a documented sponsorship track record.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Kodiak Robotics, Inc.?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
