Job Roles at Robert Half
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Robert Half Green Card Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target permanent placement roles, not contract positions
Robert Half operates both staffing and permanent placement divisions. Green Card sponsorship is far more likely through direct-hire placements than short-term contracts, so focus your search on full-time roles with end-client employers through Robert Half's permanent recruitment arm.
Specialize in high-demand technical or financial disciplines
Robert Half's Green Card filings concentrate in roles where specialized expertise commands long-term retention, including accounting, finance, and IT. Building deep credentials in these areas makes you a stronger candidate for the sponsorship conversations that matter.
Raise Green Card intent early in the recruiter conversation
Robert Half recruiters work on behalf of client employers, so sponsorship decisions often rest with the end client. Ask your recruiter directly whether the hiring company supports Green Card sponsorship before investing time in the interview process.
Use verified sponsor data to focus your search
Not every Robert Half placement leads to Green Card sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify which opportunities are realistically connected to employers with active Green Card programs.
Understand which entity will actually file your petition
Because Robert Half places candidates with client companies, the Green Card petition may be filed by the end employer, not Robert Half itself. Clarify early whether sponsorship is being offered by Robert Half directly or by the client organization where you'll be placed.
Demonstrate long-term commitment to the role and employer
Green Card sponsorship through a staffing and consulting firm signals strong retention intent. Highlighting your career trajectory, technical specialization, and commitment to the specific role reassures hiring managers that the sponsorship investment is worthwhile for both parties.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Robert Half sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Robert Half sponsors Green Cards, primarily for candidates in specialized accounting, finance, and technology roles. Sponsorship is more common through direct-hire and permanent placement arrangements than contract staffing. Because Robert Half places candidates with client employers, the sponsoring entity may be the end client rather than Robert Half itself, so it's worth clarifying this early in the process.
Which roles at Robert Half are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Robert Half tends to concentrate in high-skill, hard-to-fill positions within finance, accounting, and information technology. Roles requiring specialized credentials or certifications, such as senior financial analysts, controllers, or IT systems professionals, are stronger candidates for sponsorship because long-term retention justifies the investment in permanent residency filing.
How does the Green Card application process work at Robert Half?
The process typically begins with PERM labor certification filed by the sponsoring employer, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition and, depending on your priority date, an adjustment of status or consular processing. Because Robert Half often acts as an intermediary, the end client employer may drive the process. Aligning with an immigration attorney early helps ensure filing timelines and employer obligations are clear from the start.
How long does Green Card sponsorship take through Robert Half?
Total timelines depend heavily on your country of birth, the visa category used (typically EB-2 or EB-3), and current USCIS and Department of Labor processing speeds. PERM certification alone can take 12 to 18 months. Nationals from India and China face significantly longer waits due to priority date backlogs. Starting the conversation with your recruiter early gives you the best chance of initiating the process without delay.
How do I improve my chances of getting Green Card sponsorship through Robert Half?
Focus on permanent placement opportunities rather than contract roles, and be direct with your recruiter about needing Green Card sponsorship from the start. Candidates in specialized finance, accounting, or technology disciplines have the strongest case. Migrate Mate can help you identify which employers in the consulting and professional services sector have genuine Green Card sponsorship histories, so you can target your applications strategically.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Robert Half?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
