Target roles with a clear technical or specialized focus
Zillow's Green Card sponsorships concentrate in software engineering, data science, and product management. Roles that require deep technical expertise in real estate technology platforms are most likely to receive employer-sponsored Green Card support through the PERM process.
Understand how PERM labor certification works at tech companies
Zillow typically sponsors Green Cards through the PERM process, which requires the company to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available. Knowing this timeline upfront helps you plan your application around Zillow's recruitment and legal review cycles.
Prioritize teams building core real estate and data infrastructure
Zillow's construction and real estate platform depends on specialized technical talent. Engineering and data teams supporting its core marketplace products have historically been strong candidates for Green Card sponsorship, given the specialized nature of those roles.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Green Card sponsoring roles
Not every Zillow job posting makes sponsorship explicit. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify Zillow openings where Green Card support is a realistic part of the offer.
Build your case for EB-2 eligibility early in your tenure
If you hold an advanced degree or can demonstrate exceptional ability, Zillow can sponsor you through the EB-2 category. Documenting your qualifications and accomplishments from your first day strengthens the petition when your employer initiates the process.
Zillow Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Zillow sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Zillow sponsors Green Card visas for qualifying employees. The company has an established history of supporting Green Card applications, particularly for technical and specialized roles across engineering, data science, and product. Sponsorship is typically initiated after a period of employment and is handled through the PERM labor certification process, followed by an immigrant visa petition.
Which roles and departments at Zillow are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Zillow is most common in software engineering, data science, machine learning, and product management. These roles align with the specialized skills Zillow needs to operate its real estate technology platform. Business and operations roles are less commonly sponsored, though exceptions exist for highly specialized positions.
How does the Green Card application process work at Zillow?
Zillow typically sponsors Green Cards through the PERM labor certification route, which starts with the Department of Labor and moves to USCIS for an I-140 immigrant petition. Depending on your country of birth and the visa category, you may then wait for a priority date to become current before filing for adjustment of status or going through consular processing.
How long does the Green Card process take at Zillow?
The timeline varies significantly based on your country of birth and the EB category Zillow sponsors you under. PERM labor certification alone can take six months to over a year. For applicants born in India or China, additional waits for visa availability can extend the overall process by several years. Your immigration attorney at Zillow will provide a timeline estimate specific to your situation.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Zillow that include sponsorship?
Job postings do not always state clearly whether Green Card sponsorship is available. Migrate Mate tracks verified sponsorship data so you can identify Zillow roles where immigration support is part of the offer. Once you find a relevant opening, confirm sponsorship intentions directly with the recruiter during the initial screening call before investing time in the full interview process.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Zillow?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
