Frame your credentials around service operations
Groundworks evaluates Account Operations Managers on their ability to coordinate field crews, manage client accounts, and drive service delivery. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes in those areas before you apply, not just general management experience.
Target Groundworks markets with active hiring
Groundworks operates across dozens of regional markets in home services and foundation repair. Search by specific metro areas where they run crews year-round, since Account Operations Manager openings tend to cluster in regions with dense residential service volume.
Understand H-2B limitations before pursuing this role
H-2B is a temporary nonimmigrant visa tied to seasonal or peak-load need. If Groundworks is filing under H-2B for this function, confirm whether the position is classified as temporary, since long-term account operations roles may require a different sponsorship path.
Ask about sponsorship timing during the offer stage
H-2B petitions require DOL certification and USCIS approval before your start date, so confirm the employer's intended filing timeline during negotiations. Late filing can push your start date back, which matters if you're transitioning between visa statuses.
Verify your work authorization eligibility through E-Verify
Groundworks participates in E-Verify, which means your employment eligibility will be confirmed electronically after hire. Make sure your documents match your immigration records exactly before onboarding to avoid holds that delay your start date.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Account Operations Manager roles
Account Operations Manager positions at Groundworks open and close quickly across regions. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Groundworks openings that include visa sponsorship, so you're applying to live roles rather than chasing outdated listings.

Does Groundworks sponsor H-1B visas for Account Operations Managers?
Groundworks' documented sponsorship activity for Account Operations Manager roles has been under the H-2B visa category, not H-1B. H-2B covers temporary nonimmigrant workers in non-agricultural roles, so the position may be classified as seasonal or peak-load. If you need H-1B sponsorship, clarify the nature and duration of the role directly with the hiring team before applying.
Which visa types are commonly used for Account Operations Manager roles at Groundworks?
The primary visa type associated with Account Operations Manager sponsorship at Groundworks is the H-2B, which is designed for temporary non-agricultural workers. H-2B requires DOL labor certification and USCIS approval, and it's tied to a specific employer and job. If the role evolves into a permanent, full-time position, a different immigration pathway would likely be required.
What qualifications and experience does Groundworks expect for Account Operations Manager candidates?
Groundworks typically looks for candidates with a background in account management, field service coordination, or operations within a home services or facilities context. Strong client communication skills, experience managing service workflows, and comfort working across field and office teams are consistent expectations. Industry-specific experience in foundation repair or waterproofing is a plus but not always required.
How do I apply for Account Operations Manager jobs at Groundworks?
You can browse and apply for Account Operations Manager openings at Groundworks through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles with visa sponsorship attached. Applications typically go through Groundworks' internal hiring team, and the process involves a phone screen followed by regional manager interviews. Applying directly to a specific market location improves your chances compared to general applications.
How do I manage the timeline between a job offer and my visa being approved?
For H-2B sponsorship, Groundworks must file with DOL for labor certification before USCIS can approve the petition. This process can take several months, so your start date depends on both agency timelines and when in the H-2B cap period the filing happens. Discuss your current visa status and any existing grace period with the hiring team early so they can plan the filing accordingly.
