Frame Your Resume Around Field Sales Leadership
Groundworks Sales Managers oversee territory-based teams selling foundation repair and home services. Tailor your resume to show quota ownership, team development, and experience managing distributed field reps rather than inside or retail sales backgrounds.
Target Locations With Active Hiring Momentum
Groundworks operates regional service brands across the U.S. and hires Sales Managers market by market. Search by region and subsidiary brand, not just the Groundworks name, to find markets where roles are actively open and sponsorship is moving.
Confirm H-2B Scope Before Applying
H-2B visas are temporary and cap-subject, with USCIS limiting availability each fiscal year. Ask directly during recruiter screening whether the Sales Manager opening is structured for H-2B or another visa category before investing time in the process.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Roles Efficiently
Groundworks posts Sales Manager openings across multiple job boards and regional career pages. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Groundworks roles that align with your visa type and current status, so you're not manually tracking scattered listings.
Prepare Your Work Authorization Documents Early
Groundworks uses E-Verify across its workforce. Have your work authorization documents organized before the offer stage. Delays in providing I-9 supporting documents can slow onboarding, which matters when temporary visa timelines are already tight.
Negotiate Sponsorship Terms Before Signing an Offer
Once Groundworks extends an offer, confirm in writing which visa category they're filing, who covers filing fees, and the projected start date relative to visa processing timelines. DOL-required steps for certain categories add lead time that affects your actual start.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Groundworks sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Managers?
Groundworks' primary sponsorship activity for Sales Manager roles has been under the H-2B visa category, which covers temporary nonagricultural work. H-1B visa sponsorship is less common for sales leadership positions in the facilities services industry because the role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring a specific degree field, a threshold that general sales management roles can face scrutiny on. Clarify the visa pathway with the recruiter early.
Which visa types are commonly used for Sales Manager roles at Groundworks?
H-2B is the visa category Groundworks has historically used for Sales Manager sponsorship. H-2B is a temporary nonimmigrant classification that requires DOL certification and is subject to an annual USCIS cap. If you're pursuing a longer-term pathway, discuss with Groundworks whether they have capacity to transition you to a different status after initial placement.
What qualifications or experience does Groundworks expect for Sales Manager roles?
Groundworks Sales Managers typically come from field sales or home services backgrounds where direct-to-consumer selling and team management are core responsibilities. Demonstrated experience hitting revenue targets across a defined territory, coaching sales reps, and operating within a structured sales process are the qualifications that consistently appear in their job postings across subsidiaries.
How do I apply for Sales Manager jobs at Groundworks?
Groundworks posts Sales Manager openings through its subsidiary brand career pages and major job platforms. The most reliable way to find current openings that align with your visa situation is through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Groundworks roles filtered by sponsorship type. After identifying an open role, apply directly through the company's official career portal and flag your work authorization status early in screening calls.
How do I plan my timeline around Groundworks' visa sponsorship process?
H-2B sponsorship requires DOL certification before USCIS adjudicates the petition, which means the process starts well before your intended employment date. If you're targeting a Sales Manager role at Groundworks, initiate contact with recruiters early enough to allow for government processing lead times. Starting conversations months ahead of when you need to be authorized to work is essential, not optional.
