Match your credentials to field operations standards
Groundworks Operations roles often require documented experience in site coordination, crew supervision, or facilities maintenance. Before applying, gather references and employment records that show hands-on field work, not just administrative responsibilities, since that distinction shapes how your petition is framed.
Target Groundworks locations with active hiring
Groundworks operates across multiple regional markets in facilities and property services. Focus your outreach on branches with posted Operations openings, since sponsorship decisions are made at the hiring level and a role already approved for recruitment moves faster through the visa process.
Understand the H-2B cap before you start
H-2B visas are subject to a Congressional cap, and annual allocations fill quickly. If Groundworks extends an offer for a seasonal or temporary Operations role, confirm the filing timeline immediately so your petition is submitted before the cap closes for that period.
Prepare for DOL-driven start date requirements
H-2B sponsorship requires the employer to file with the DOL before your start date is set. Ask the hiring team early what the intended start date is, since your entry into the U.S. is tied to that date and USCIS will not approve an earlier arrival.
Search open Operations roles on Migrate Mate
To find verified Operations openings at Groundworks that are open to visa sponsorship, search by company and role on Migrate Mate. It filters specifically for employers with active sponsorship activity so you're not guessing which postings are realistic for sponsored candidates.
Confirm your work authorization status at offer stage
Groundworks uses E-Verify, so your employment eligibility is confirmed electronically after hire. If you're in a grace period or transitioning between visa statuses, clarify your current authorization with the recruiter before your first day to avoid an I-9 mismatch that could delay your start.

Find Operations at Groundworks JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Groundworks sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Groundworks does not typically sponsor H-1B visas for Operations positions. Operations roles in facilities and property services generally involve field-level or site coordination work rather than the specialty occupation criteria the H-1B requires. Groundworks' sponsorship activity for this function is concentrated in temporary work visa categories better suited to the nature of the work.
Which visa types does Groundworks use for Operations positions?
For Operations roles, Groundworks primarily sponsors through the H-2B visa, which covers temporary non-agricultural workers in industries like facilities and property services. H-2B is well suited to seasonal or project-based Operations work. If you hold a different visa status, confirm with the recruiter whether your current authorization is compatible with the role before applying.
What qualifications does Groundworks expect for Operations roles?
Groundworks looks for candidates with practical, site-level experience in facilities maintenance, field coordination, or crew supervision. Formal credentials help, but documented hands-on work history carries significant weight for Operations roles in this industry. Familiarity with property services operations, safety compliance, and managing on-site teams is consistently relevant across the positions they hire for.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Groundworks?
You can find current Operations openings at Groundworks through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles from employers with active visa sponsorship history so you can apply with confidence. When you apply, align your resume to the specific site-level skills the role requires. After submitting, follow up directly with the regional recruiter since hiring decisions at Groundworks are made at the local operations level.
How do I plan my timeline for H-2B sponsorship at Groundworks?
H-2B petitions must be filed with USCIS after the DOL certifies the employer's temporary labor need, and the H-2B cap fills on a fixed annual schedule. Once you receive an offer, work with the HR team to confirm the intended start date and filing window. USCIS premium processing is not available for H-2B, so build in several months between your offer and your planned start date.
