Target roles that match E-3 specialty occupation criteria
Guzman Y Gomez sponsors E-3 visas, which require a specialty occupation backed by a relevant degree. Focus on management, operations, or corporate roles rather than general crew positions, as these are more likely to meet the specialty occupation threshold.
Leverage your Australian background as a direct advantage
E-3 visas are exclusively available to Australian citizens, so your nationality is genuinely an asset here. Guzman Y Gomez's Australian roots mean the hiring team understands the E-3 process, which can smooth the sponsorship conversation compared to other U.S. employers.
Approach the application as a two-step conversation
Lead with your qualifications and fit for the role first. Once you have interest from the hiring team, raise the E-3 sponsorship question, Guzman Y Gomez has a track record with the process, so framing it as a familiar step reduces friction.
Focus on corporate and multi-unit leadership pipelines
In food and beverage, visa sponsorship tends to flow toward corporate, regional, or senior operational roles. When applying to Guzman Y Gomez, position yourself for these tracks rather than entry-level store positions, which are unlikely to meet E-3 requirements.
Confirm your degree aligns with the role before applying
E-3 approval depends on your degree field matching the job's specialty. A business or hospitality management degree supports operations or marketing roles at Guzman Y Gomez, but a mismatch can cause complications, verify alignment before engaging on sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified E-3 sponsoring employers
Not every food and beverage employer will sponsor visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your efforts on companies like Guzman Y Gomez that have an established E-3 track record.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Guzman Y Gomez sponsor H-1B visas?
Guzman Y Gomez does not have a history of sponsoring H-1B visas. The company's U.S. visa sponsorship activity has focused on the E-3 visa category, which is available exclusively to Australian citizens. If you're not an Australian national, Guzman Y Gomez is unlikely to be a viable sponsorship pathway for you.
What visa types does Guzman Y Gomez sponsor?
Guzman Y Gomez sponsors E-3 visas for eligible Australian citizens working in qualifying specialty occupation roles. The E-3 is a two-year renewable work visa that requires a relevant bachelor's degree and an employer-filed Labor Condition Application. The company does not have a documented track record with H-1B or Green Card sponsorship.
Which departments or roles at Guzman Y Gomez are most likely to be sponsored?
Sponsorship at food and beverage companies like Guzman Y Gomez tends to be concentrated in corporate, operational leadership, and management roles that satisfy the E-3 specialty occupation requirement. Roles in marketing, restaurant operations management, or supply chain are more likely candidates than front-of-house or crew-level positions, which typically don't require a degree-level qualification.
How do I approach Guzman Y Gomez about E-3 visa sponsorship during the hiring process?
Lead with your qualifications and fit for the role rather than opening with visa questions. Once the hiring team has expressed genuine interest, raise the E-3 as a standard, familiar process, bring the LCA filing requirements and timeline so the conversation is practical, not abstract. Guzman Y Gomez's familiarity with the E-3 process means this is less of an unknown for their HR team than it might be at other U.S. employers.
How do I find open roles at Guzman Y Gomez that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists jobs from employers with verified U.S. visa sponsorship history, including companies like Guzman Y Gomez. You can filter by visa type to surface E-3-eligible positions specifically, which saves time compared to applying broadly and then discovering an employer won't sponsor. Checking Migrate Mate regularly is the most efficient way to track new openings as they're posted.
