Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Silver Bay Seafoods Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Apply early in the seasonal hiring cycle
Silver Bay Seafoods hires on a seasonal basis tied to Alaska's fishing season. Applications submitted well before the season opens are far more likely to be considered, since H-2B slots are filled once the employer's quota is allocated.
Understand that H-2B sponsorship is temporary
Silver Bay Seafoods sponsors H-2B visas, which are for temporary nonimmigrant workers. These positions are not a direct path to permanent residency, so go in with clear expectations about the duration and nature of the work authorization.
Focus on production and processing roles
Visa sponsorship at Silver Bay Seafoods is concentrated in seafood processing, cannery, and fishery operations. Targeting applications toward these operational roles gives you the strongest alignment with the company's active sponsorship activity.
Be prepared for remote and seasonal work conditions
Silver Bay Seafoods operates in remote Alaskan locations. Sponsored workers are typically housed on-site during the season. Demonstrating flexibility and readiness for remote conditions signals the kind of commitment this employer looks for.
Confirm your country of origin is eligible for H-2B
The H-2B program restricts sponsorship to nationals of DHS-designated countries. Before applying to Silver Bay Seafoods, verify your country is on the current eligible list, it changes annually and affects whether an employer can petition for you.
Use Migrate Mate to track open sponsored roles
Silver Bay Seafoods posts seasonal openings on a recurring basis. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify when Silver Bay Seafoods is actively hiring for H-2B positions.

Does Silver Bay Seafoods sponsor H-1B visas?
No. Silver Bay Seafoods does not have a track record of sponsoring H-1B visas. The company's sponsorship activity is focused on the H-2B program, which covers temporary nonimmigrant workers in seasonal industries like seafood processing. If you need H-1B sponsorship, you'll need to target employers in professional or technical fields where that visa type is commonly used.
What visa types does Silver Bay Seafoods sponsor?
Silver Bay Seafoods sponsors H-2B visas, which are designed for temporary workers filling seasonal, non-agricultural positions. This aligns with the company's fishery and seafood processing operations in Alaska, which require a large workforce for a defined season each year. The company does not sponsor Green Cards or H-1B visas based on its filing history.
How do I find open H-2B jobs at Silver Bay Seafoods?
Silver Bay Seafoods recruits for sponsored roles on a seasonal cycle tied to the Alaskan fishing season. Migrate Mate lists verified sponsoring employers and lets you filter by visa type and industry, making it straightforward to find Silver Bay Seafoods postings when they're active. Checking early in the calendar year increases your chances of catching openings before slots fill.
Which departments or roles at Silver Bay Seafoods typically get sponsored?
Sponsorship at Silver Bay Seafoods is concentrated in hands-on production roles: seafood processors, cannery workers, and fishery operations staff. These are the positions that drive the company's seasonal H-2B filings. Corporate, management, or professional roles are not typically associated with the company's visa sponsorship activity.
How do I improve my chances of getting sponsored by Silver Bay Seafoods?
Apply as early as possible before the fishing season begins, since H-2B cap numbers are limited and positions fill quickly once the employer's petition is approved. Make sure your home country is on the DHS H-2B eligible countries list. Highlight any prior seafood processing, food production, or physically demanding seasonal work experience in your application, as these directly match what the company is hiring for.
