Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Aspirus Health's H-1B filings concentrate in clinical roles that require a specific degree field, not just any bachelor's degree. Cross-reference your credential against the O*NET occupation profile for your target role to confirm it meets the specialty occupation threshold before applying.
Target departments with recurring clinical vacancies
Aspirus Health's H-1B sponsorship clusters around physician, nursing, and allied health specialties in underserved Midwest markets. Focus your applications on departments where credential shortages drive consistent hiring, since those teams carry more internal pressure to sponsor international candidates.
Verify your prevailing wage tier before negotiating
Aspirus must certify your offered salary meets DOL prevailing wage requirements before filing your H-1B petition. Run the OFLC Wage Search for your occupation code and Aspirus Health's county to know your wage tier going into salary discussions, so you don't accept an offer that stalls at the LCA stage.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment during your offer conversation
H-1B sponsorship requires the employer to be registered with E-Verify. Ask the recruiter directly whether Aspirus Health's specific hiring entity is enrolled before you invest time in the offer process, since large health systems sometimes operate multiple legal entities with separate compliance setups.
Use Migrate Mate to identify Aspirus Health's LCA filing history
Searching Aspirus Health's Labor Condition Application history by occupation code tells you which roles they've previously sponsored and at what wage levels. Migrate Mate surfaces this DOL data so you can walk into interviews knowing exactly which positions have a clear H-1B filing path.
Time your application around the April cap filing window
If you're not already in H-1B status, your petition must be filed in the April cap season for an October 1 start date. Coordinate with Aspirus Health's HR team at least six months in advance so your employer has time to retain immigration counsel, complete the LCA, and meet USCIS filing deadlines.
Aspirus Health H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Aspirus Health sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Aspirus Health sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying clinical and allied health roles. Sponsorship is most common for positions where a specific degree field is required, such as physicians, registered nurses, and specialized therapists. The strength of your case depends on your occupation code meeting the specialty occupation definition and your offered salary clearing the DOL prevailing wage threshold.
Which departments at Aspirus Health typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Aspirus Health is most concentrated in clinical departments facing persistent workforce shortages, including internal medicine, family medicine, nursing specialties, and rehabilitation services. Administrative or generalist roles are less likely to qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria, so your strongest path is through a direct clinical or licensed healthcare position.
How do I start the H-1B sponsorship process at Aspirus Health?
Raise H-1B sponsorship explicitly during the offer stage, not after signing. Aspirus Health's HR or talent acquisition team will coordinate with external immigration counsel to file a Labor Condition Application with DOL, then submit the H-1B petition to USCIS. Your role is to provide credential documentation, degree evaluations if applicable, and respond quickly to any requests for evidence.
How long does the H-1B process take at Aspirus Health?
If you require a new cap-subject H-1B, expect a process that spans several months from offer to work authorization, since petitions must be filed in April and status begins October 1. USCIS premium processing can reduce adjudication time significantly once the petition is filed. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, a transfer can happen much faster under cap-exempt rules.
How do I find open H-1B roles at Aspirus Health?
Migrate Mate lists Aspirus Health's open positions filtered by H-1B sponsorship history, so you can see which roles align with their past LCA filings before applying. Cross-referencing active job postings against Aspirus Health's documented sponsorship track record helps you prioritize applications where the employer has a clear pathway already established.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Aspirus Health?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
