Align your credentials to ATI's clinical roles
ATI's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in licensed clinical roles like physical therapy and occupational therapy. Before applying, confirm your degree and licensure map to the specialty occupation definition USCIS uses, and that your credentials are recognized in the specific state where ATI would place you.
Check state licensure requirements before applying
Healthcare H-1B roles at ATI require active state licensure, and each state has different timelines for licensing foreign-trained clinicians. Start your state license application early, since USCIS expects the employer to demonstrate you meet all requirements at the time of filing.
Research ATI's LCA filing history on Migrate Mate
Before reaching out to ATI recruiters, search Migrate Mate to review ATI's Labor Condition Application history by role and location. This shows which job titles and states ATI has actively sponsored, so you can target applications where sponsorship precedent already exists.
Negotiate the H-1B timeline into your offer
ATI's H-1B filings are subject to the annual cap, with the petition window opening in April for an October 1 start date. When discussing an offer, confirm whether ATI will file in the cap lottery and clarify whether premium processing is included to reduce adjudication uncertainty.
Verify your wage offer meets DOL prevailing wage
ATI must certify your salary meets the prevailing wage for your role and work location on the Labor Condition Application. Cross-check your offered salary against the OFLC Wage Search for your job title and metropolitan area before signing anything, since underpaid offers trigger DOL compliance issues.
Use O*NET to document specialty occupation status
Physical therapy and occupational therapy roles at ATI must qualify as specialty occupations requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher. Pull your role's O*NET profile to confirm the education requirements and job zone classification, which supports the specialty occupation argument in ATI's H-1B petition.
ATI H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does ATI sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, ATI sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying clinical and healthcare roles in the United States. Sponsorship is most commonly associated with licensed positions in physical therapy and occupational therapy. Since ATI participates in the cap-subject H-1B process, candidates must be selected in the annual USCIS lottery before a petition can be filed.
Which roles at ATI typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at ATI is concentrated in licensed clinical roles that meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, primarily physical therapists and occupational therapists. These positions require a specific degree in a directly related field, which satisfies the H-1B specialty occupation requirement. Administrative or support roles are far less likely to qualify for sponsorship.
How do I find out if ATI is actively hiring H-1B candidates in my specialty?
Search Migrate Mate to review ATI's Labor Condition Application filings by role type and work location. This data shows where ATI has sought DOL certification for H-1B positions in the past, giving you a clearer picture of which specialties and states have active sponsorship history before you apply.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at ATI?
ATI's HR or legal team files the Labor Condition Application with DOL, then submits the H-1B petition to USCIS during the cap registration window each March. The process requires your employer to initiate filing, so confirm ATI's willingness to sponsor before accepting an offer. Premium processing is available through USCIS to reduce adjudication time to about 15 business days.
How long does H-1B sponsorship at ATI typically take?
For cap-subject candidates, the timeline runs from March registration through an October 1 start date if selected and approved, meaning the full process spans roughly six to seven months. State licensure timelines for clinical roles add complexity, since USCIS expects all licensing requirements to be met at the time of filing rather than after approval.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at ATI?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
