Job Roles at Bentley Systems
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Bentley Systems H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and software development roles
Bentley Systems primarily sponsors H-1B visas for software engineers, product developers, and technical roles tied to its infrastructure engineering platform. Focusing your search on these departments gives you the strongest chance of finding a sponsorship-eligible opening.
Verify sponsorship history before applying
Not every role at a technology company comes with H-1B sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you confirm Bentley Systems is actively sponsoring before investing time in an application.
Align your degree field with the job description
H-1B approval at Bentley Systems depends on your role qualifying as a specialty occupation. Your degree must directly relate to the position, so engineering software or computer science backgrounds carry the most weight with USCIS for Bentley's core technical roles.
Engage Bentley's technical recruiters early
In Technology and Software companies, hiring managers often influence sponsorship decisions before HR formalizes them. Reaching out to Bentley Systems recruiters on professional networks early in your job search can surface unadvertised sponsorship-eligible roles.
Understand Bentley's H-1B cap timing constraints
Bentley Systems, like most private technology employers, files H-1B petitions subject to the annual cap and lottery. Timing your application process around the April filing window is critical, so align your job search and offer negotiations accordingly.
Highlight domain expertise in infrastructure software
Bentley's products serve civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering markets. Candidates who can demonstrate project experience or technical knowledge in these domains stand out in hiring reviews and strengthen the specialty occupation argument supporting their H-1B petition.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Bentley Systems sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Bentley Systems sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles, primarily in software engineering, product development, and technical services. The company has an established sponsorship track record in the infrastructure technology space. International candidates should confirm sponsorship availability for a specific role during the recruiter screening stage, as not every position is eligible.
Which roles and departments at Bentley Systems are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
Software engineering, research and development, and technical product roles are the strongest candidates for H-1B sponsorship at Bentley Systems. Positions requiring specialized knowledge of infrastructure engineering software, systems architecture, or geospatial technologies tend to meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies to H-1B petitions. Business, sales, and generalist roles face higher scrutiny.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Bentley Systems?
Once Bentley Systems extends a job offer and confirms H-1B sponsorship, the company's immigration counsel files a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, followed by the H-1B petition with USCIS. Your role is to provide documentation of your qualifications and degree. The employer manages the filing directly, but staying in close communication with HR throughout the process helps avoid delays.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Bentley Systems?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, the timeline runs from the April lottery registration through an October 1 start date at the earliest. Standard USCIS processing after selection takes several months, while premium processing can shorten adjudication to around 15 business days for an additional fee. Candidates already in H-1B status transferring to Bentley Systems can begin work more quickly under portability rules.
How do I find open H-1B sponsorship jobs at Bentley Systems?
Searching Bentley Systems' careers page is a starting point, but confirmed sponsorship availability is not always listed in job postings. Migrate Mate filters verified H-1B sponsors so you can identify Bentley Systems roles alongside other confirmed sponsoring employers in the Technology and Software sector, saving time that would otherwise go toward applying to companies that don't sponsor.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Bentley Systems?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
