Job Roles at Dana
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Dana H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and technical divisions
Dana's H-1B sponsorships concentrate in engineering-heavy functions, powertrain, thermal management, and electrification. Focusing your search on these divisions gives you the strongest shot at finding roles where Dana actively initiates H-1B petitions.
Verify sponsorship history before applying
Not every Dana posting comes with confirmed visa support. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you avoid wasting time on roles where H-1B sponsorship is unlikely to be offered.
Align your degree to the specialty occupation standard
H-1B approval at Dana depends on demonstrating your role qualifies as a specialty occupation. Engineering and technical roles typically clear this bar, but your degree field should map directly to the job responsibilities described in the offer letter.
Engage early in the recruiting cycle
Dana's H-1B filings follow USCIS's April lottery deadline. Reaching out to recruiters and completing interviews between October and February gives both sides enough runway to prepare a petition before cap-subject filing opens.
Highlight automotive-specific technical skills
Dana operates in a specialized segment of the automotive supply chain. Candidates who demonstrate familiarity with drivetrain systems, electrification platforms, or sealing technologies are more competitive for the roles most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship.
Confirm sponsorship willingness explicitly during interviews
Some Dana hiring managers have discretion over whether to initiate an H-1B petition. Ask directly during the offer stage whether the team has sponsored H-1B holders before and whether immigration counsel is already engaged for the role.

Does Dana sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Dana sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions, particularly for engineering and technical roles tied to its automotive drivetrain, electrification, and sealing systems businesses. Sponsorship availability varies by department and open headcount, so confirming with the hiring team during the interview process is advisable.
Which roles and departments at Dana are most likely to offer H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Dana concentrates in engineering functions, mechanical, electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineering are the most common. Roles supporting Dana's electrification and thermal management product lines have seen consistent sponsorship activity. Corporate functions such as IT and finance occasionally sponsor, but engineering remains the core area.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process once Dana offers me a role?
Once Dana extends an offer, its immigration counsel files a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor and then submits Form I-129 to USCIS during the cap-subject filing window each April. You'll need to provide documentation of your degree, transcripts, and relevant work history. The employer manages the petition; your role is supplying accurate supporting materials promptly.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Dana?
From offer acceptance to approved H-1B status, the timeline typically spans several months. The USCIS lottery runs in March, filing opens in April, and standard adjudication takes three to six months. Premium processing, which Dana may elect to use, can reduce adjudication to roughly two to three weeks. Plan for a start date no earlier than October 1 for cap-subject cases.
How do I find open H-1B jobs at Dana?
Searching Dana's careers page is a starting point, but listings rarely flag visa sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate compiles verified H-1B sponsor data so you can identify Dana roles where sponsorship has historically been offered, reducing the guesswork. Filtering by confirmed sponsorship history before applying saves significant time and improves your targeting.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Dana?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
