Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations, meaning your degree must directly relate to the position. In Construction & Real Estate, roles like structural engineer or project controls specialist carry stronger specialty occupation arguments than general management titles.
Research Four Seasons roles using O*NET
Before applying, look up your target job title in O*NET to confirm it requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Construction and real estate roles with clear technical degree requirements are far easier to defend in an H-1B petition than hybrid or generalist positions.
Target roles with technical licensing requirements
Four Seasons operates in a field where licensed engineers and certified project managers are common. Roles that require a professional license or state certification give your H-1B petition stronger specialty occupation footing, since licensure implies degree-level specialized knowledge by definition.
Verify prevailing wage before salary negotiations
Your employer must pay at least the prevailing wage for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to find the Level I through Level IV wage for your occupation code before you negotiate, so you know the floor Four Seasons is legally required to meet.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
H-1B employers must use E-Verify to confirm work authorization. Ask Four Seasons's HR team whether the specific hiring entity is enrolled. Construction companies sometimes use separate legal entities for different project divisions, and only the enrolled entity can be named on your H-1B petition.
Use Migrate Mate to identify Four Seasons's filing history
Before investing time in the application process, confirm Four Seasons's H-1B track record. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer, so you can see which roles and locations have active filings and target your outreach to the divisions most likely to sponsor.
Four Seasons H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Four Seasons sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Four Seasons has filed H-1B petitions for workers in the Construction & Real Estate sector. Sponsorship is typically reserved for specialized technical roles where a direct relationship between the position and a relevant degree can be clearly established. Your strongest path is targeting roles with explicit educational requirements rather than generalist titles.
Which roles at Four Seasons are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
In Construction & Real Estate, H-1B sponsorship most commonly supports roles in structural or civil engineering, project controls, estimating, and building systems design. Positions that require a degree in a specific technical discipline carry the clearest specialty occupation argument. General operations or sales roles are harder to sponsor under H-1B standards.
How do I approach Four Seasons about H-1B sponsorship during the hiring process?
Raise sponsorship early, ideally during the first substantive conversation with a recruiter. Frame it as a straightforward process for a qualified candidate rather than a burden. Come prepared with your visa status, current authorization expiry, and a clear explanation of the H-1B timeline so HR isn't learning the process from scratch during your offer stage.
How do I understand the H-1B filing timeline when working with Four Seasons?
The H-1B cap opens each April 1, with USCIS conducting a lottery in March. If selected, your start date is October 1. Your employer must file the Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting the petition to USCIS. Premium processing is available if you need a faster adjudication decision, though it doesn't change the October start date for cap-subject petitions.
How do I find Four Seasons H-1B job openings as an international candidate?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified H-1B filing history, so you can focus on Four Seasons roles where sponsorship has been used before. This saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a specific team or entity doesn't sponsor. Cross-reference open roles against the company's LCA filings to target your outreach effectively.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Four Seasons?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
