Target clinical and technical roles first
Hanger's H-1B sponsorship tends to concentrate in specialized clinical and technical positions, such as orthotists, prosthetists, and healthcare operations roles. Focus your applications on departments where specialized credentials are required and harder to fill domestically.
Confirm sponsorship willingness early in the process
Hanger sponsors selectively, so raise H-1B sponsorship during recruiter screenings rather than waiting until an offer stage. This saves time for both sides and helps you identify which hiring managers have prior experience navigating the H-1B process.
Highlight credentials that are difficult to source locally
Hanger operates in a niche clinical space where board-certified practitioners are in short supply. Emphasize any specialized certifications, clinical training, or technical expertise that makes you a stronger case for sponsorship over a domestically available candidate.
Use verified sponsorship data to find the right openings
Not every Hanger job listing will explicitly mention H-1B sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you identify Hanger roles where visa support is actually on the table.
Build relationships through Hanger's clinical network
Hanger has a national footprint of clinics and patient care centers. Connecting with current Hanger clinicians at professional associations or healthcare conferences can give you visibility into which locations are actively hiring and most open to sponsoring.
Hanger H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Hanger sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Hanger does sponsor H-1B visas, though it does so selectively rather than at high volume. Sponsorship is most common for specialized clinical and technical roles where qualified candidates are difficult to find domestically. If you're applying for a role that requires specific certifications or clinical expertise, Hanger is more likely to consider H-1B sponsorship.
Which roles at Hanger are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Hanger is most associated with specialized clinical positions, including orthotists, prosthetists, and roles requiring board certification or advanced clinical training. Technical and operational roles in healthcare management may also qualify, but sponsorship likelihood is highest when the position demands credentials that are genuinely scarce in the domestic labor market.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Hanger?
Once Hanger extends a job offer and confirms sponsorship, their HR and legal teams typically work with an outside immigration counsel to file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, followed by the H-1B petition with USCIS. Your role is to provide employment history, degree documentation, and credential verification promptly to keep the filing on track for the April cap registration window.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Hanger?
The timeline depends on where you are in your immigration status. If you need a cap-subject H-1B, expect a multi-month process from offer to work authorization, with an October 1 start date in most cases. Premium processing is available for faster USCIS adjudication if Hanger elects to use it, which can reduce the petition decision window to a few weeks.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Hanger that are open to sponsorship?
Job listings don't always specify H-1B sponsorship clearly, which makes it hard to know which Hanger openings are actually viable for visa candidates. Migrate Mate aggregates roles from verified H-1B sponsors, so you can filter specifically for Hanger positions backed by real sponsorship history rather than guessing from a generic job board listing.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Hanger?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
